Anyway i like too share my PC stats 640GB hard drive , 6GB memory, 2.6GHZ which is perfect for crisis but 3.3GHZ is far too much u dont really need it, if u can run crisis, then u can run any game, and of course 9800GT
This game only requires 8600GT NIVIDIA, 4Gb memory and 2.2Ghs, but i 9800GT can run this on maximum, i guess everyone was right, i just got 9800GT+22 inch LCD which makes this game look so perfect, but damn my PC was $950, what a rippof, i should have build the super PC for like $500
for some readon, when i open crysis and go to the graphics properties, i can only chose a 1280x720 resolution, and thats it, yet my scrfeen's maximum resolution if 1440x900 and i play all of my other games, i.e. cod4, css etc etc in 1440x900. Can anyone help me out?
Fraps is a program used to record in-game play. AA is anti-aliasing, which is the smoothing of polygons in real-time. It is pretty intensive on the GPU. I don't know how to check frame rates in Warhead, Fraps has a little counter that always pops up for me.

Get a corsair or PC Power and Cooling PSU for like $100, should get you 750W. I would go for a Q9450 or better, as it will last longer.
I would not get a 9800GX2. They are pretty much old news. If you have an SLI capable board I would suggest a GTX260 in SLI, which should go ~$400. That should leave you with ~$200 to play with and a really fast rig. If you want a single card I would suggest GTX260 or 280. ATI 4870 1GB isn't a bad choice either.
First, you have a single Q9450 at 2.6 G Hz, which has 4 cores.
Secondly, a 9800GTX may not perform substantially better. Crysis does not perform great with SLI. I would suggest picking up a 280GTX, 4870x2 or a 295GTX.
SLI with the 9800GTX will do better than a single one.
which is better the 9800gtx or the 8800gtx ive herd that the 8k series is better than 9k but i dont know cause im thinking about getting a 8800 or 9800
The 9800GTX is better, just for the cooling. However, these days I would get a GTX 260 or a 4870 1GB. 9800GTX is an older generation that will be passing soon.
thanks a lot im looking to get a better one than my current one but first i'll need a bigger pc cause i have a small one thats sits on your dest with the moniter on top
hey, i just got this card but when i play at 1440x900 on my 19" monitor with no aa its quite badly aliased, do you no why that would be cuz aa is a fps killer
PD: when i launch the game it says who the exe is from october 2007 and when i go to system info it says who the occupied memory is 1.8 gb or a bit more i think but another thing is who i don't know how to start with the simple processes as the antivirus, the vga drivers, network drivers and sound.
the 9800GTX is not going to get much faster than 25FPS on very high. If you want more FPS, you will have to do SLI or get a newer faster GPU. I would recommend a GTX 260 for crysis. If you want bigger guns, look at the GTX 280 or the 4870x2.
help i only have a max of 25 fps in the first part of the game with a 9800 gtx, 4 gig ram 1066,q6600@2.4,asus p5qc, windows vista ultimate 64 bits. i think it's because my version of the game is 1.0 but in all case help me plz!
What are your settings/resolution? 25FPS is a tad low, but don't expect to get above 40 on high settings at any decent resolution. Crysis is a very demanding game.
Get the newer version of the 260. (core 216 or something?)
Always try to get one kickass card (not a GX2 or a 4870x2, even if it's put together in one card, it's still 2 GPUs) because a lot of games have troubles with things like that, along with SLI and Crossfire. Hell, there are plenty of cases of people who did crap like getting two 280s to SLI getting WORSE performance than a single 280 because some games just aren't made to use it properly, and it actually lowers performance.
This is true for crysis. But other games have shown 100% increase in FPS with XFire. If I was in the market for a new video card atm, I would probably get a 4870 1Gb or a 4870x2, depending on my budget.
Not if you can afford a 4870 1Gb. The 9800GTX is a rapidly aging card. I probably wouldn't buy it if I was upgrading a decent PC or building a new one.
If I was building a new PC, I would be looking at a 4870 1Gb, 4870x2, GTX 260 and GTX 280. I believe in upgrading big or not at all. If you do a small upgrade you are basically spending a bit of money just so you have to upgrade again sooner. Spend a bit more money so your investment will last twice as long.
Was going to get a macbook but I just can't leave behind the feeling you get from a custom PC, I'm going to have a PC Power and Cooling 750watt psu a 9800gtx+ssc than will oc some more, an evga 780i mobo with 3 way (only going to have one card though) 2gb of ram and a e7200, probably oc it to much higher though. What do you think? And the 4870 is unfortunately out of my range :(
I would get an x38 or x48 motherboard instead of the 780i. It is cheaper, and unless you are going to SLI, there is no functional difference. If you get a 550W PSU from corsair (more than enough) you should have enough money to get a 4870 and 4gb of RAM. That PC will perform better. I would try to get a penryn CPU if you could.
Alternatively I would save up more and wait for Nehalem to come out.
I am going sli instead of the OC'ed ones I am going dual 9800gtx's and I if I were to get a 4870 I would want the x2 or two of them. For the price of dual 9800GTX's it will outperform one 4870 and as for the PSU I want something I know will last. I am going SLI because nVidia is usually the one to come back on top and sit there for a long time. I find amd will make one good card then flop again. That's why I am getting sli. If I get more money then planed this whole system might change.
If you are getting a new computer now, I would get an ATI 4870 1GB over the 9800GTX. There are a lot of vista haters out there, and I would listen to very few of them. Crysis will run just fine on your computer. And yes, only vista can use Dx10. However, many games use Dx10, including Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Crysis Warhead, and I am sure there are more coming.
this is what my pc is gonna have: NVIDIA 9800GTX, 2GB RAM, 500GB Hardrive space, 3.00GHz, Windows XP. will this run crysis coz ppl have been saying that vista takes up 1 gb for this game so you need 3-4 gb of ram but vista only needs 2 gb for this game. but ppl been saying that vista cant have DirectX 10 (only crysis uses that atm) but if u look at the xp version (9 series) then you look at the vista version (series 10) theres not much of a difference.
Ok, to all the Vista haters out there. Vista has been shown to out-perform XP on all fronts except data transfer over a network. Vista uses more memory than XP when your PC is idle. What vista does it horde all unused memory so that it is harder for viruses to access, and it uses that memory to perform back ground house keeping tasks, like defragmentation. I have 4GB on my pc, and I have never seen more than 2.5 utilized even when running crysis. Vista is a fairly efficient OS.
I have been hearing that this doesn't have good game play but from what you were doing, i really want to play it now. My specs are Q6600 stock fan and clock, 4GBs DDR2 1066mhz dominator ram and im getting the asus 9800gtx OC edition 775MHz/1.95GHz/2.36GHz. Will i get the same or atleast near results as you?
because i'm having a problem choosing between a 4870 and a gtx+.
what are the differences?
the only thing i know is that the gtx runs slower at higher resolutions..also ati doesn't seem that great when it comes to overclocking (to me anyways because i've had problems with it in the past)
yea I know. It isn't the most optimized engine, but damn is it it pretty. However, if the new Hydra 100 chipset takes hold, optimizing games for multiple GPUs won't matter as hardware will do it for you.
Well...you will get 80+ on most games, but not a chance on Crysis and World in Conflict. Quad SLI with 9800GX2 barely gets 50+ FPS on very high at 1920x1200. I have a pretty high end comp, and at 1440x900 I wasn't getting over 25 FPS at very high, even after a good amount of OCing of both my GPU and CPU.
Just in case you didn't know Crysis isn't optimized for Multiple GPUs, so having SLI or Crossfire won't boost your performance like it does in other games. It's really a shame because otherwise very high at high resolutions would be no problem.
Theroom the Asus top and SSC are the top OCs you can get they trade blow for highest clocks, but the are very close. I went with EVGA because of their warranty and Step-Up program.
It depends which has a higher clock/memory rate. They are using the same chipset though. I would look at the 4850 and 4870 too. They are faster and cheaper. If you are a die hard nVidia fanboy, I would check out the 9800GX2. The GTX 280 is too expensive imo.
Yea, CrossfireX is turning out well. SLI tends to give a pretty consistant ~30% increase in FPS, but Xfire can on certain games get 100% increase in FPS. If you are looking to spend int he $500 range, wait for the 4870x2 to come out and see how it does.
Well Crysis: Warhead isn't out yet, and it is a side-story from the main story in Crysis. You can probably pick up crysis for ~$30 now. I thought it was a cool game, and suggest you take a look at it.
I wouldn't get an SLI 9800GTX. The 9800GTX is not the best card on the market and Dual GPU solutions are in general used to maximize performance over a single GPU solution. If I were you I would go with the 4870x2. It will only be $100 more than the two 9800GTX and out-performs almost any dual card setup on the market. The only dual cards that commonly produce higher FPS than the 4870x2 is the GTX280 SLI, which costs ~$1000.
only 25 FPS on that resolution? I saw another guy running with similar specs, and same card and he was hitting 20-25 FPS on 1680-1050, are you able to play it 1680-1050? my comp is gonnabe be exactly like yours when i get my 9800gtx
I doubt it was on very high settings. It could have been a mix of very high and high settings. I would get a 4870 instead of a 9800GTX if you are building a new comp at the moment. It is a much better card than the 9800GTX and only $100 more. You could also get a 9800GX2 for around $350-400.
That is not from the video, it is actually there. The lag is from the system working overtime in a new environment to get all the objects drawn. Very High settings has a long draw distance, so initially there will be a lag spike when it first needs to draw everything, but then it smooths out.
Nope, I bought the game. And developers are making PC exclusives. Want a few names? Dawn of War II, Warhammer Online, Starcraft II, Diablo III, Crysis Warhead, and I am sure there will be more.
i just picked up the XFX XXX edition of this card and have it at the same clocks. i don't even hit 70`c running crysis at 1280x1024 very high Dx10 x2aa
i have that card and when i play cod4 in 1440 900 i get an average of 90 fps, but sometimes when i look at a smoke granade it drops do 30 to 40 fps!my friend who has a 8800GT and the same processor as i never drops as low as i.
what is my problem?I have a EVGA 750i motherboard!
It depends on his settings. If you have maximum textures the game will do a lot more processing to make the smoke look real and natural, which is why you get the FPS drop. I run CoD4 at 1920x1200 with max settings and I get the FPS drop too. It is a normal thing when you get blending of textures. Also, make sure your friend isn't exaggerating, it has been known to happen. But the 9800GTX >> 8800GT.
Not true. The 9800GTX uses the same chipset as the 8800GTS 512, which showed about a 10-15% gain over the 8800GT. However, the exceptionally cooling that the 9800GTX possess allows it to clock much higher than the 8800GTS 512. In my personal tests (I did a step up from the 8800GTS) I saw an average rise of 30-40% in FPS when I did the upgrade and clocked up my 9800GTX. It is really quite a good card, for $200.
The 9800GTX uses the G92 chipset, with 128 cores just like the 8800GTS 512. The 8800GT uses the G92 with 112 cores, which is why there is a noticeable performance difference.
Hybrid, as far as I understand it is not worth much. It does not let you use two different cards in SLI, but rather lets you use a integrated GPU and a Video card together. In general a single GPU solutions is always the best.
It won't run at all. Your processor is a bit slow, but the problem is your video card. The 8500 is a very slow video card. If you can upgrade to an 8800GT or better you will be able to play Crysis just fine.
The E8400 is a processor, so I am not sure what you are asking. Will Crysis run well or the 9800GTX? Crysis is a GPU dependent game so your processor really won't matter too much. The 9800GTX's performance really won't be affected one way or another by the processor.
I use the Cooler Master Stacker 830. Its a very good case. I would recommend a full tower case for this card as it is big. The Cooler Master Cosomos is also a very good case.
Yeah !! you are so clever ! the 9800GX2 is faster than the 9800GTX! i had bought 9800GX2 with high price than 9800GTX! but i still don't know about these! 9800GX2 or 9800GTX better? sorry with my bad English because i'm Japanese! i think you are so great with your video and your comments ! continue sharing more your video with youtube and for all !! good job, thanks dude !!
I wouldn't recommend it. More important than wattage is the amps the PSU can push on a 12v rail. The 9800GTX requires 26A, which is high for a 400W PSU. My PSU has 61A on its 12v rail, and is a 750W PSU.

I assume you mean a 4870x2 with 2gb. That should run crysis on very high under a resolution of 1920x1200.

You need to update your videocard, it is very poor. Get an 8800GTS or better and you will be fine.
Since the naming is weird, here is a relative strength of video cards you should consider:
8800GT < 8800GTS < 9800GTX < 9800GX2 < 4850 < GTX 260 < 4870 ~ GTX 280 < 4870x2
Nilhien 3 years ago
isnt 9500 GT 512 better than 8800 ??

no
it goes liek this 8500,8600 8600gts 9500gt 8800gs 8800gts 8800gt

Whaaat?
9800GX2 not as good as the 4850?
HamishM150 3 years ago
a 9800GX2 pwns an HD 4850 the 9800GX2 is more like and HD 4870 1GB
Nvidiamaster123 3 years ago
I know man, my comment was a reply to someone else a couple of pages back who was talking about the 4850 being better than the 9800 GX2.
4850 is a good card, but no way it's gonna beat a GX2 card.
HamishM150 3 years ago
lol this game is to demanding man
LostWorldHalfLife2 3 years ago
yup. When it was designed, it was trying to push every limit possible. Computers are just now catching up to the software.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Was going to get a macbook but I just can't leave behind the feeling you get from a custom PC, I'm going to have a PC Power and Cooling 750watt psu a 9800gtx+ssc than will oc some more, an evga 780i mobo with 3 way (only going to have one card though) 2gb of ram and a e7200, probably oc it to much higher though. What do you think? And the 4870 is unfortunately out of my range :(
YoungGeekGuy 3 years ago
I would get an x38 or x48 motherboard instead of the 780i. It is cheaper, and unless you are going to SLI, there is no functional difference. If you get a 550W PSU from corsair (more than enough) you should have enough money to get a 4870 and 4gb of RAM. That PC will perform better. I would try to get a penryn CPU if you could.
Alternatively I would save up more and wait for Nehalem to come out.
Nilhien 3 years ago
I am going sli instead of the OC'ed ones I am going dual 9800gtx's and I if I were to get a 4870 I would want the x2 or two of them. For the price of dual 9800GTX's it will outperform one 4870 and as for the PSU I want something I know will last. I am going SLI because nVidia is usually the one to come back on top and sit there for a long time. I find amd will make one good card then flop again. That's why I am getting sli. If I get more money then planed this whole system might change.
YoungGeekGuy 3 years ago
I would consider getting a single 4870x2 then. It is about $100-150 more than the 9800GTX in SLI and far far superior.

Nilhien 3 years ago
this is what my pc is gonna have: NVIDIA 9800GTX, 2GB RAM, 500GB Hardrive space, 3.00GHz, Windows XP. will this run crysis coz ppl have been saying that vista takes up 1 gb for this game so you need 3-4 gb of ram but vista only needs 2 gb for this game. but ppl been saying that vista cant have DirectX 10 (only crysis uses that atm) but if u look at the xp version (9 series) then you look at the vista version (series 10) theres not much of a difference.
BenjaminEllett 3 years ago
*that XP cant have DirectX 10
BenjaminEllett 3 years ago
Ok, to all the Vista haters out there. Vista has been shown to out-perform XP on all fronts except data transfer over a network. Vista uses more memory than XP when your PC is idle. What vista does it horde all unused memory so that it is harder for viruses to access, and it uses that memory to perform back ground house keeping tasks, like defragmentation. I have 4GB on my pc, and I have never seen more than 2.5 utilized even when running crysis. Vista is a fairly efficient OS.

does the recording program your using bog down fps much?
chiefdarklord69 3 years ago 2
Yes it does.
Nilhien 3 years ago
I have been hearing that this doesn't have good game play but from what you were doing, i really want to play it now. My specs are Q6600 stock fan and clock, 4GBs DDR2 1066mhz dominator ram and im getting the asus 9800gtx OC edition 775MHz/1.95GHz/2.36GHz. Will i get the same or atleast near results as you?
springnut 3 years ago
You should. However, if you are just now buying a video card, I would strongly suggest you get a 4870 instead of a 9800GTX.
Nilhien 3 years ago
really?
because i'm having a problem choosing between a 4870 and a gtx+.
what are the differences?
the only thing i know is that the gtx runs slower at higher resolutions..also ati doesn't seem that great when it comes to overclocking (to me anyways because i've had problems with it in the past)
a7x5631 3 years ago
9800gtx is one of the best grafikcard but one of the newest is 200series
1993ufuk 3 years ago
yea I know. It isn't the most optimized engine, but damn is it it pretty. However, if the new Hydra 100 chipset takes hold, optimizing games for multiple GPUs won't matter as hardware will do it for you.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Well...you will get 80+ on most games, but not a chance on Crysis and World in Conflict. Quad SLI with 9800GX2 barely gets 50+ FPS on very high at 1920x1200. I have a pretty high end comp, and at 1440x900 I wasn't getting over 25 FPS at very high, even after a good amount of OCing of both my GPU and CPU.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Just in case you didn't know Crysis isn't optimized for Multiple GPUs, so having SLI or Crossfire won't boost your performance like it does in other games. It's really a shame because otherwise very high at high resolutions would be no problem.
7heMy7h 3 years ago
It will be great for that resolution.
Nilhien 3 years ago
what about at 1680X1050? i'm getting my 9800GTX soon, i'm hoping for 30+ frames on crysis (on very high 1680x1050) and like 80+ on all my other games

you should be able to play it on very high setting at 1920X1200 res cant you?
guyanesejoka 3 years ago
Not a chance. Very High resolution at 1920x1200 is a stretch for any single GPU card, and is just starting to be doable with dual GPU setups.
Nilhien 3 years ago
I can run veryhight at 1920x1200 with about 25fps average with only 1 9800gtx+superclocked and with hight setting it run 35fps

Post a reply vid. Because frankly, knowing the architecture and benches of the 9800GTX+, I don't believe it.

Getting a EVGA 9800 GTX+ SSC on Wensday.
Theroom the Asus top and SSC are the top OCs you can get they trade blow for highest clocks, but the are very close. I went with EVGA because of their warranty and Step-Up program.
pknyo 3 years ago
what is better asus 9800gtx+ or zotac 9800gtx+ amp
theroom305 3 years ago
It depends which has a higher clock/memory rate. They are using the same chipset though. I would look at the 4850 and 4870 too. They are faster and cheaper. If you are a die hard nVidia fanboy, I would check out the 9800GX2. The GTX 280 is too expensive imo.
Nilhien 3 years ago
i am not nvida fanboy but i have sli motherboard
and i am glad that ati at last have some god cards
theroom305 3 years ago
Yea, CrossfireX is turning out well. SLI tends to give a pretty consistant ~30% increase in FPS, but Xfire can on certain games get 100% increase in FPS. If you are looking to spend int he $500 range, wait for the 4870x2 to come out and see how it does.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Wow...Big fire. Very nice 5/5
Paw12gry 3 years ago
Well Crysis: Warhead isn't out yet, and it is a side-story from the main story in Crysis. You can probably pick up crysis for ~$30 now. I thought it was a cool game, and suggest you take a look at it.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Can someone tell me if i should get crysis or crysis warhead based on gameplay and better overall
ZombehKiller123 3 years ago
is 9800gtx much better than radeon 3870hd
theroom305 3 years ago
Yes. The new 4870 is a very good card that is much faster than the 9800GTX.
Nilhien 3 years ago
I wouldn't get an SLI 9800GTX. The 9800GTX is not the best card on the market and Dual GPU solutions are in general used to maximize performance over a single GPU solution. If I were you I would go with the 4870x2. It will only be $100 more than the two 9800GTX and out-performs almost any dual card setup on the market. The only dual cards that commonly produce higher FPS than the 4870x2 is the GTX280 SLI, which costs ~$1000.
Nilhien 3 years ago
very nice setup, i'll be building my comp in 3 or 4 months and plan to go 9800GTX in SLI

Something around 25FPS when I am not recording. But I do get slow downs from time to time, when I enter new environments.

Ok. Thanks!
BallzBuilder92 3 years ago
your comfortable with 25fps? lol i hate even the slightest jaggies.. i must be an eye candy whore :( well nice beating the game!
gamerjinho 3 years ago
only 25 FPS on that resolution? I saw another guy running with similar specs, and same card and he was hitting 20-25 FPS on 1680-1050, are you able to play it 1680-1050? my comp is gonnabe be exactly like yours when i get my 9800gtx
varnlestoff 3 years ago
I doubt it was on very high settings. It could have been a mix of very high and high settings. I would get a 4870 instead of a 9800GTX if you are building a new comp at the moment. It is a much better card than the 9800GTX and only $100 more. You could also get a 9800GX2 for around $350-400.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Wow, 9800>4870
hdwblade 3 years ago
i saw some lag spikes in the beggining, was it just the vid or were they really there?
m2tl 3 years ago
That is not from the video, it is actually there. The lag is from the system working overtime in a new environment to get all the objects drawn. Very High settings has a long draw distance, so initially there will be a lag spike when it first needs to draw everything, but then it smooths out.

i am glad i am getting a XFX 9800GTX
with a mid size tower
xstreamkills 3 years ago
if thats true.. i think ill be better off with the 4850 + vf1000 fan
gamerjinho 3 years ago
When I first heard about Hybrid SLI, I made the same mistake. The 4850 is a good choice. I really like the 4000 series from ATI.
Nilhien 3 years ago
i bet you downloaded this game :(
I hate ppl that d-load cos now developers arent making pc exclusives anymore :(
MaSt3rPi3cE 3 years ago
Nope, I bought the game. And developers are making PC exclusives. Want a few names? Dawn of War II, Warhammer Online, Starcraft II, Diablo III, Crysis Warhead, and I am sure there will be more.
Nilhien 3 years ago
i just picked up the XFX XXX edition of this card and have it at the same clocks. i don't even hit 70`c running crysis at 1280x1024 very high Dx10 x2aa
archolon 3 years ago
i have that card and when i play cod4 in 1440 900 i get an average of 90 fps, but sometimes when i look at a smoke granade it drops do 30 to 40 fps!my friend who has a 8800GT and the same processor as i never drops as low as i.
what is my problem?I have a EVGA 750i motherboard!
sentinela321 3 years ago
It depends on his settings. If you have maximum textures the game will do a lot more processing to make the smoke look real and natural, which is why you get the FPS drop. I run CoD4 at 1920x1200 with max settings and I get the FPS drop too. It is a normal thing when you get blending of textures. Also, make sure your friend isn't exaggerating, it has been known to happen. But the 9800GTX >> 8800GT.
Nilhien 3 years ago
then well he must be exxagerating, thanks for quick anwser
sentinela321 3 years ago
would the fps go up if i put the res at 1280x1024,
if youve done that, on dx10 very high. plz let me know.
agumon12 3 years ago
Yes if he dropped the resolution the FPS will go up. Lower resolution means fewer pixels to fill so it is easier for the GPU to do its job.
The Crysis video is DX10 on very high, run in Vista x64.
Nilhien 3 years ago
ive got the vista home premium x32,
suppose that wont make too much of a diffrence. except memory usage lol.
agumon12 3 years ago
Nope.
Nilhien 3 years ago
9800gtx>8800gt.. but not by alot..
gamerjinho 3 years ago
Nilhien 3 years ago
... i dont think 9800gtx is g92 chipset.
gamerjinho 3 years ago
The 9800GTX uses the G92 chipset, with 128 cores just like the 8800GTS 512. The 8800GT uses the G92 with 112 cores, which is why there is a noticeable performance difference.
Nilhien 3 years ago
yea but not by much, i can show you my benchies in crysis. but it wont be as good because i dont have a goto cpu/ram/yadayada..
the only reason im thinking about 99800gtx is because of the sli hybrid, i wish sum1 posted a vid on the hybbrid / benches
gamerjinho 3 years ago
Hybrid, as far as I understand it is not worth much. It does not let you use two different cards in SLI, but rather lets you use a integrated GPU and a Video card together. In general a single GPU solutions is always the best.
Nilhien 3 years ago
How well would this run on Pentium Dual Core E2160 1.8 Ghz|GeForce 8500 gt|2 GB RAM ?
K1berdemoN 3 years ago
It won't run at all. Your processor is a bit slow, but the problem is your video card. The 8500 is a very slow video card. If you can upgrade to an 8800GT or better you will be able to play Crysis just fine.
Nilhien 3 years ago
how well would this run on the E8400?
XRontix 3 years ago
The E8400 is a processor, so I am not sure what you are asking. Will Crysis run well or the 9800GTX? Crysis is a GPU dependent game so your processor really won't matter too much. The 9800GTX's performance really won't be affected one way or another by the processor.
Nilhien 3 years ago
what chassis do you use?
I bought Xaser VI from thermaltake because my 9800 gtx is too big XD lol wnated to know if this cards was fitting on a normal chassis
vincelaccro 3 years ago
I use the Cooler Master Stacker 830. Its a very good case. I would recommend a full tower case for this card as it is big. The Cooler Master Cosomos is also a very good case.

what is the differece between 9800 gtx and a 9800 gtx oc ?
upkiller12 3 years ago
The speed of the processor, memory and the shader. They will all be faster in the 9800GTX OC, which will give you higher frame rates.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Wow, so cool! today, i buy Gygabyte 1GB DDR3 Geforce PCX-9800GX2(GVNX98X1GHI-B), better then 9800GTX ???
miracle18th 3 years ago
Yes, the 9800GX2 is faster than the 9800GTX. Just be sure you have a power supply that can power that video card, it is a power hog.
Nilhien 3 years ago
Yeah !! you are so clever ! the 9800GX2 is faster than the 9800GTX! i had bought 9800GX2 with high price than 9800GTX! but i still don't know about these! 9800GX2 or 9800GTX better? sorry with my bad English because i'm Japanese! i think you are so great with your video and your comments ! continue sharing more your video with youtube and for all !! good job, thanks dude !!
miracle18th 3 years ago
The 9800GX2 is faster. Even at the overclocked (increased speed) speeds, the 9800GTX is slower than a 9800GX2.
Nilhien 3 years ago
will this video card run decently on my 400w PSU???
eka501 3 years ago
I wouldn't recommend it. More important than wattage is the amps the PSU can push on a 12v rail. The 9800GTX requires 26A, which is high for a 400W PSU. My PSU has 61A on its 12v rail, and is a 750W PSU.
Nilhien 3 years ago
thanx gues i will have 2 change the damn thing xD
eka501 3 years ago
