My only comment would be that you can and more than likely will damage that fan motor by over volting it. I nearly fried an O2cool myself hooking direct to a PV module. You can find DC-DC converters that plug into 12 volt sockets and have adjustable voltage settings and polarity. Thanks for the video, running fans was one of my first solar projects after having to run a gen set for weeks after hurricane Rita in 05 here in sw La.
Thanks for the comment, somedump. I do have all that but it is installed with another panel. This video was done a long time ago while I was experimenting with solar. The problem with buying for every little experiment is waste of money. We are building prototypes with scrap electrics to LEARN green energy. Then you can buy it if you find a vendor. There is many good green panels in the market and that is what I will do since I know how it works, all the components of a solar panel. Thanks again
There's better ways to do it than cutting the wires; if you don't have the tools, and it's some kind of extreme condition, then fine cut the wires. Otherwise, just get some car starting cables or something, lol.

Yes you are right, that is why I am learning wind energy too. There is a lot of wind in Florida because of the ocean.

This is great....unless you live where it's hot (I'm in Florida). we use the camp fans at night so we don't roast, no sun. :o(
