@balboa62 Yes, there is another "Mass", a few, in fact. They are the "Liturgies" of St. James. St John Chrysostom, and St Basil the Great, and there are many others of the various rites of the Orthodox and the Catholic Churches. They all have their place, their beauty and their mystery, and they are all equally legitimate.
Beautiful Choir! Has God spared the Catholics in Greece from Novus Ordo? Everything there is beautiful!
I'm Greek Orthodox and a convert from protestantism. The savage destruction done to the Catholic Church in America after Vatican II made it impossible for me to be willing to join up.
Is this an actual Roman Catholic (Latin Rite) church or a Greek Catholic (Eastern Rite) church? I'd like to go live in Greece one day but I worry about whether or not there will be any Roman Catholic churches.
Oh!This is my parish! You can actually see me arrangig smth in the altar(I was an altarboy).Such happy memories from the period that I was a seminarian and I was serving every Sunday both at the Greek and High Mass with the bishop.
May all these Beautiful Chruches remain for a long, long time. And may we see once again women with covered heads. And dressed modestly. 2Cor 11 St. Paul tells us, "No woman should enter the temple of God with head uncovered."
Yeah but back then women didn't have any rights. Dressing modestly I'm all for that...but covering our heads as well? What about men? Do men have to cover their heads as well? Nope. Only women.
It's a new day and age. But then again I'm apart of a Lutheran church and we're so laid back that we come to church in jeans and tee shirts. It doesn't matter what we have on. What matters is that our faith is there...and it is.
Spideymania, so should the bible be re-written? Since women now have "more rights" ? 1Cor 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

I'm not sorry I'm Orthodox though.

it's a latin rite catholic church (the cathedral), and there are a few in Athens.

Please can anyone post a clip showing Easter in the Greek Catholic church - the Epitafios or the Anastasi? especially the lovely hymn singing

we can see there that in countries we are not majoritarian, the faith is stronger and more demonstrative.
