  • This video was so helpful! Thank you, I'm almost entirely prepared for my AP English Debate tomorrow on animal testing.

  • The Nazis were big on animal rights, they tested on Jews instead.

  • This video is an appeal to emotion, nothing more. Where is the "better way" suggested at the end of this video? Before you can have a "debate" on animal research both parties need to first establish whether or not they see animal life is innately inferior to human life. Animal models have always been crucial the advancement of biological research and to deny researchers this tool is to withhold medicine from people...

  • @MarshalNey13 This issue is on suffering on animals. Ethics. If we need advancement on our own man-made diseases and needs for our "wants" then we need to use it on people. Ethics. People can choose, animals can't. Ethics, we pay taxes every damn day for this country that uses millions of dollars on rapists, murderers, cold-hearted people who don't give a shit if they kill again. Fucking use them for experimentation.

  • Your comment is nonsensical and poorly thought out. What "man-made diseases?"

I believe that as long as you believe that human life is worth more than animal life then you'll be ok accepting animal research as a lesser evil. Most animal rights people know this deep down even if they buy the bullshit that it's not effective. You're the first person I've seen who actually advocates forced human experimentation. That was done in Guatemala in 1948 and you are a sick person for supporting that filth.

  • @MarshalNey13 and so experimenting on animals and "beating around the bush" by these experiments are fucking ridiculous that only cause suffering. If we found a cure and 100 animals had to be sacrificed for 100 people, I would choose the people to live. I'm not a pro-experimentation or anti, I'm a combination of both. When experimentation is 100% NECESSARY and could be EFFECTIVE then it IS extremely moral. But this shit they have done, yet, is immoral! Like cosmetics? COME ON!!!

  • Sure humans would make better test subjects than animals but experimenting on humans in place of animals is wrong in any circumstance because human lives are worth more than animal lives. It’s really just that simple. Fortunately animals make a good secondary choice. They’re not perfect, but they are still crucial to medical research. It’s ignorant to say otherwise.

  • @MarshalNey13 It's also immensely ignorant and cruelty to try and justify the suffering of living beings. I am against hurting animals just as much as hurting people. If the world (as seen in history) always has escalated from ineffectiveness or a stalemate experiment, they will move on to what they know will work. Humans. In the long run, protecting animals is protecting ourselves.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

There you have it...you see human life and animal life as being equal in value. There's nothing more to argue. I encourage to you stick by your beliefs and deny yourself modern medicine.

  • @MarshalNey13 You should just stick to watching videos without trying to argue, because you can't and don't comprehend someone's point. No, I don't value animals more-thank you very much.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

You're putting words in my mouth. I said you value animals and humans equally, which is sick in my opinion.

You think we should stop animal testing. Animal testing saves human lives. Stopping animal testing would cost human lives...It is ignorant to say that it wouldn't.

Animal experimentation is a necessary evil.

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047 First off, fuck you. I'm trying to make a point that experimentation is immoral and proven to be highly ineffective in most experiments done for "medical" purposes. If anything, we can only learn about a cure through human experimentation-that has not only be done in Guatemala you dumb fuck but everywhere in the U fucking S because animals aren't fucking humans. I'm not advocating, I'm making a point that learning from ourselves can only be done in ourselves like science proves

  • @Tezcatlipoca0047

You're mixing up the so called "moral argument" with the so called "scientific argument" like so many other ignorant animal rights people. In your first post you used "ethics" as your justification, now you're saying it's ethics PLUS "ineffectiveness". Does it work vs is it moral? These are two SEPARATE discussions.

You completely missed my point about Guatemala, go look it up.

No drug can be tested on a human in the US if it hasn't already gone though animal testing first.

  • It's better we test these experiments on animals than on humans. Would you rather take the life of a rabbit born to die, or would you rather take the life of a human born to live? These animals were born in laboratories and were born to be experimented on. It doesn't seem fair, but it is. Bunnies are cute, Babies are cuter.

  • @TheFiveMinuteWarning well why take either life? We already have the medical advancement we need to live to a even a hundred years! Animals would say that bunnies are cuter than babies, but they just don't have the voice to. Imagine being tortured and burned and SUFFERING with all the pain that doesn't benefit you in the least just for some greedy human. We die when were meant to, that's how it works. Let's just stop testing.

  • @nevershoutnever5555

no animals dont think bunnies are cuter than babies... at all. They don't think much about that sort of stuff. They're not too conscious of their own thought processes and behaviors.

  • Animals are angels when you think about people are consider smarter than animals yet we pollute, we murder for no good reason, pieces of paper is considered more important than our own planet, and the worst of it all the ones that have no evil in their hearts, no bad, are subjected to this kind of torment, just to save the lives of the pathetic human beings. I would rather die.

  • @Juillardl If anything its all the chemicals that are giving us these illnesses the chemicals that were tested on animals. And now that we are ill from all the garbage toxins we use everyday we need to test again on animals again.

  • how could any normal hman being think of doing somthing that evil to somthing so cute and harmless?

  • Animal testing is vile, it needs to stop. It turns my stomach to think of all the people meicating themselves, wearing makeup, all oblivious to the sufferings it causes of other creatures... creatures who deserve so much more than us.
