Here is a true story about my experience with a union. Was in Vegas 3 years ago for a large event and we had spent a lot of $ for the event and everything was done via a union shop. The program was printed and one one employee we did not put his middle initial in ti. The union required us to reprint the whole program. $6,750 later, we NEVER used a union since. I saw this union employee and on his floor tag- no middle initial. It is stuff like this that turns employers off from unions.
People need to stand up and fight for unions and what they respresent. If big corporations had their way, workers would be nothing more than servants. The big guns are out and spreading lies about this act, we need to continue to keep fighting for the workers of America! IUOE Local #49
Yeah I had to learn the hard way myself. What I was subjected to in VA was unbelievable. That is why I wrote book Right To Work, it was my only resource to speak out for change and also try to heal myself and let it go.
I, along with other IBEW Local 21 organizers, attended this forum/debate, and will say: 1)that we thank you for standing up for working people so powerfully; 2)for speaking the truth against the unionbuster lies; 3)for spending more time in Chicago; and 4)for kicking the UB's ass! Keep up the great work!
