Also Chinas booming demand for natural resources has helped our mining sector flourish and create thousands of jobs and revenue. Without Howards commitment to positive relations with the Chinese government we would not have these trade deals which are powering our economy and deliver constant budget surpluses

Rudd handled these questions professionally, and made very clear statements as to what he will focus upon in order to manage the everchanging state of the world in the 21st century. Although many critics believe Rudd is simply "copying Howard", why fix something that is not broken after all. Rudd certainly outperformed Howard - Howard was shaky , became aggressive and negative whereas Rudd was positive and as he said every developed country (note: even Britain under Labor) is experiencing a boom right now.
