There's nothing wrong with a convention as long as you pick honest constitutionalists as the delegates. The problem is that congress would pick socialists & communists. So before we can call a convention we need to flush the toilet and get rid of the turds that is our current congress. My suggestion is to find true constitutionalists to vote for in every election from town mayor, to governor, to president & everything in between.

Back in the early 1980's Congress passed the Penny-Casic Act. (sp?) this required a balanced budget. Then Congress began passing spending bills as exceptions to the Penny-Casic Act. So yes, we have had a balanced budget act not far in the past. If I remember correctly Kennedy was a major player in killing this Act once it was passed.

Does it make sense the keystone of evidence for the JBS would be misreported on two sites by two different sources? In any event, regardless of date, the questions of accuracy of statements by Burger remain.
Berger said he's glad to see the states recind their requests for a Convention, but there's actually no stipulations saying they can be recinded. Congress can and will, upon getting the 2/3 legislature requests, call for and create a new Convention.
