But why didn't "Perspective" make it to the album? The riff sounds so great
Only beef I have with this style is the clean guitar. He does these chugging type riffs with clean guitar and I hate the way it sounds. I realize that this is just me, but I really just wish he'd stick to an acoustic guitar :( Negativity aside I think this album is going to be amazing!

There have been many a dark day musically, and in life in general, but your songs have always inspired me and helped me through whatever problems may have arisen. But Yes, Devin is a monument to all of us who love music for what it's for, emotion and what you are, not selling and getting fans. A true musician writes for himself not for anyone else.
I love that some of the drum riffs on these Ghost teasers work as themes in their own right. It's just so cool and so laid back, but, like an eyebrow being raised in a Merchant-Ivory film, the subtlest nuance speaks volumes. I must own this album now, and am frantically working on my time machine to that end as we speak. (It is possible to bend time with weetabix, right?)

I just want to say that I am actually amazed at the innovative ideas you have about recording. The fact that you stumbled upon a tunnel, and then used it to create the natural reverb you want for a certain track blows my mind. I'm looking forward to the next couple albums, and I'm really hoping to catch you in Toronto in November.

What's amazing about the scope of your music styles, Dev, is that no matter who it is I'm trying to introduce your music to, there's bound to be *something* - some color in your palette - that's going to appeal to them. So... I introduce them to that. And then they're hooked. Sounds like Ghost is going to add yet another color to choose from.
The fact that I share the same city as you is a relief, knowing there are people here original and creative, striving to create what THEY want, and not what's wanted of them.

Had the same feeling for each album since Ziltoid and with each passing album my wonder is matched only by the feeling I've been waiting my whole life to hear this music in the knowledge that it would someday manifest itself in my life somehow. @poopynuggeteer Fair shout, I usually go Addicted -> Ki for some reason. I like spiky waveforms, heavy - light heavy - light, I suspect Ghost and Deconstruction are going to cause me some wonderful confusion.
@TheHeavymetalpenguin Deconstruction is like a kind of death-y, black-metally, circus-y symphony type deal with lots of electronics, a positive spin and some humor.

This is pretty interesting. I actually love listening to your stuff man it really inspires me to keep making more music. Do you just keep pushing with writing or does it just come to you? I find it to be extremely difficult to just push a song into completion mostly because I find at the end it feels like it lacks. Any advice?

@poopynuggeteer Fair shout, I usually go Addicted -> Ki for some reason. I like spiky waveforms, heavy - light heavy - light, I suspect Ghost and Deconstruction are going to cause me some wonderful confusion.

This is pretty interesting. I actually love listening to your stuff man it really inspires me to keep making more music. Do you just keep pushing with writing or does it just come to you? I find it to be extremely difficult to just push a song into completion mostly because I find at the end it feels like it lacks. Any advice?

Mr. Townsend. I just wish there were some way to explain to you the appreciation from a certain percentage of us that understand the leg work you put into dynamics across the scope of your work. While I'm a fan of your heavier works, and heavier works of music in general, I hope that doesn't disqualify me from appreciating on a very intense level from saying job well done from 15+ years ago to now. This post is the best news ever.
