@Emokitten899 I heard they stopped in the middle of season 2 because the producers were interfering with the direction Michael Straczynski wanted to take the show. But either way, very sad that they cut it short. One of my favorite series.

I remember waiting for almost a year for jeremiah to return from hiatus, when season 2 finally premiered, I was all ready to hear my favorite theme song only to find it replaced with this. It should have been an omen of the bad things to come from the final season :)

JMS just used the basic idea of the Jeremiahverse to create his own story. The episodes have no relation to the comics I've heard. You still might like them; I did.

It is a good thing that this series was pulled - it was a go-nowhere and utterly boring pile of hogwash. I watched the 1st series up until ep 8 hoping beyond hope that JMS would pull some of his old B5 tricks out of the bag (like good stories,plot lines etc) but nothing happens. Luke Perry doesn't help with his wooden acting and monotonous droning voice. Episode 5 was the best - at least the girl had the right idea - sail away over the horizon, and find a decent storyline in another country!

I watched both episodes. The production values are terrible (ridiculous CG and irritating background noise that could have been easily eliminated through the use of personal mics) and the acting/script are passable.

I've seen both seasons of both Jeremiah and Jericho on Netflix streaming. I'll check out the series you listed; I'm open to low-budget, just not no-budget (having to hear the wind scream into the mic in the original Dead World Diaries because they didn't spend a little money to get decent, attachable mics was ridiculous).

Yeah. The audio is better, now. You hear a little wind, but not screaming this time. You hear rain though. I don't use mics. I usually have a recorder near the conversation, mp3, etc.... Or if it is in a building, like my home I record from a mic plugged into a computer. So I can decide from whatever 3 audio tracks I want. In some cases I have an extra camera not recording video but recording sound. Makes it easier. As long as wind doesn't scream. I hate that.

@LANKAPOOP, Apparently the song was created by the same guy who made season 1s song. And it does not have a complete version. Only the version that was used in Season 2s beginning and apparently a version in the ending credits of the Pilot, but I have not checked that yet.

I just discovered Jeremiah on netflix. I'm thinking, "Who knew?" Brilliant show. An excellent but at times heartbreaking morality tale, showing us the path we may be on if things don't change by some real-life miracle or collective awakening. the second season is currently airing on SciFi (the first four episodes all ready aired as of yesterday), however while there is no DVD release of Jeremiah for season2, if you head over to NetFlix you can watch it via NetFlix WatchNow and it only costs $8.99/month.

It is a great show but unfortunately American studios have a reoccurring issue of interfering and killing great epic shows. It is not well known because MGM interfered with the creative process and JMS walked out. The show was canceled. Similar to what Fox did to Firefly. Whedon never walked tho.

Jeremiah was just one well made series that I could watch several episodes in a row without wanting to stop. There are very few I can say that about. If JMS or anyone else involved in the series ever reads this, thank you for one fantastic show. I only wished it could have had a longer run. I wonder if JMS has considered books based on the series?

Jeremiah was developed from a European graphic novel series by Belgian author Hermann Huppen. It is in beautiful full color, great quality. Maybe they would fill your need.

I saw Jeremiah as a Netflix rental, was impressed, and got a hold of the first season DVD set. It took some doing to find a decent quality set of Season 2. IF a real set were released, I would have gladly bought it. Showtime can come up with great ideas and later kill them off. I also love both themes. JMS is brilliant and Jeremiah is another example.

Showtime has got to have the worst track record for cancelling good shows. First Stargate: SG-1. Went on to 10 seasons when Sci-fi channel picked it up not to mention the Atlantis offshoot. Bet they are kicking themselves for the blunder.

Showtime would rather have "Queer as folk" "The L work" and a whole host of right wing liberal touchy feely shows. Jeremiah was a real lose. This show could have played out some great scenarios thru the seasons.

I even called Showtime once. Arogant bastards.
