this is beautiful i never thought this song could be interpereted like that, would you suggest this guitar, because i am looking for a hollowbody to play mainly jazz on and what kind of strings do you use
Thanks! I have something much better, a full length widescreen DVD lesson explaining note for note and in closeup how to play this. Please let me know if interested.
@amusiathread and what? its the player that makes a guitar sound rich and expensive. maybe he changed the pick up, mechanics, etc to make this guitar unique and individual perfect for him! maybe the "cheap" guitar inspirie him the most. forget the words "cheap" and "expensive" in a musical context. its not the financial market, its art.
Thanks! Yes, an Ibanez AG75. I plug in straight to the computer... Please check out some of my most recent videos for much better, I think, tone. Thanks again!!
This is awesome. I am trying to break this song down right now. Do you have a lead sheet I can use? You have it down on guitar which is what I'd love to be able to do.
Thanks! The music I use is just what I hear on the record and perhaps I glanced at the Real Book which is only slightly different. It's a pretty short form so the chart is not a big issue. However, if you're interested in my specific arangment, please click on "more info" for info about my instructional DVDs. Thanks again and please don't forget to subscribe!
Very nice, well done. Everytime i regret having chosen guitar as the instrument i play, when it comes to jazz, i listen to this video. I've got one question, where did you find the chords?
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. The original track is on Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis. You can also find a chord chart in different books such as the Real Book although some of them are not 100% accurate.
Thank you! yes, I have two excellent CDs as described in my personal website, take a look. they're $15 each or both for $25 (plus shipping, around $3). Please let me know if interested.
Thank you! I play the basic simple chords, somewhere between the real book version and Bill Evans' original chords. The thing is that I then add substitutions, and then more substitutions on top of that.... But these just come out of my head and are different every time. Sorry I'm no help... Please don't forget to subscribe!
BRAVO! this is some of the most beautiful music I've heard coming out of a guitar (a cheap one, by the way!). Virtuosity at the service of expression. Thanks for posting this!
Stunning! At least you could make it look difficult, man - this is some o the best picking I've ever heard.
