no the coat on the album cover was designed by jeff jaeger falko ,of Toronto,Canada...he used the soldering iron to do the little burns ,up and down the Union Jack pattern...genius!
The vid was produced by my good friend Floria Sigismondi, from beautiful Toronto,Canada...David's fave city..met him twice, seen 'em over 30 times live, since his 2 shows in one day inToronto,Canada in June 1974...kicked off my little ssummer babes..
I had been a big Bowie fan from the 70's, I had kind of lapsed when I saw him on a late show doing this song and I was like, WOW! I wish it was posted on youtube he really rocked, I'm almost positive it was on Letterman but I can't find it . I went to a big concert called the US Fest (mid 1980's at nowhere California), I wanted to see Bowie so bad, but the a-hole I was riding with wanted to leave before the sun went down, luckily I saw him in the late 80's at an arena, he was awesome!
This song reminds me of how awesome Reeves Gabrels was. I wish he stuck around and they went heavier. I'm glad I got to see The Reality Tour at the Greek Theater...Awesome sound! And I bumped into Brian Setzer in the audience.
incredible lights and camera movement. I'm surprised the crowd wasn't more into it. Bowie is incredible. How he manages to smile so wide while singing completely baffles me... and makes him so unique!
The song is awesome but the marky crowd sucked.Look at these old fools, sitting in their seats. You don't sit down at a Bowie concert you get up and jump around.
This is a sham! Reeves Gabrels had left the band and they are using a sample of his guitar playing. They have two guitarists there who can't handle it? FUCK BOWIE!
Uh...I dont think you get it. Most of the songs from Earthling, when done live, use the CD tracks in the background to maintain the original effects. Earl Slick can more than "handle" it, but there are so many effects on Little Wonder that it would sound very off without the backing track.
No, YOU don't get it. I'm not talking about the drum tracks. Reeves Gabrels used to play that part LIVE in REAL TIME. This taken straight off the CD. Slick is a good rock guitarist, but Gabrels is an artist.
