Thanks a lot from the netherlands, always still deeply moved by mr. Danny Kaye's talent for giving and and bringin so much joy through all the times, the moment is always right, when you hear his Voice!...and a laugh, if you see his face.

Depending on whether this movie was released in the spring or summer of 1952, I was very young when my parents took me to see the movie in a drive in theater. I remember hearing him sing this song. Being a hopeless romantic, even at that early an age, it has stuck in my mind for 58 years or so. Scenes I remember include the one in which he's locked in a closet, as well as his telling the story of The Ugly Duckling. Thanks for the memories.
@sikorskiS55 You are welcome :-) It's always deeply moving to see the best glimpses of good old times, and our childhood, come back to life again with a touch of nostalgia. I'm also an incorrigible romantic :-) I still keep rewatching this particular movie every now and then, always with a smile on my face :-)
@TheWheelman1970 You are welcome. Yes, he was one of a kind both in his multiple talents and the way he spread kindness and compassion in the whole world beyond ethnic and linguistic barriers :-)
