  • I FEEL LIKE I'M ENTERING A ZONE WITH NO SPIN THAT MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1) PINHEADS; 2) PATRIOTS

  • Godlessness in the U.S please

  • Awesome.

  • of course hes up there and sees everything....

  • Prothero = Bill O'really

  • @underbjorn thats what i was about to say hahahah

  • But at all costs do not listen to a Ken Olberman. ;)

  • I think it's funny how he talks about no one being able to escape their past or judgement, yet he receives judgement himself later in the film.

  • WAIT A SECOND!! That's roger Allam playing him. The drag queen from "La Cage Aux Folles" XD XD !!!

  • I knew Javert would be a great orator

  • Wow Peter Mannion's gotten popular after leaving the Shadow Cabinet!

  • I'm a Christian and I'm very proud to be English? Does that make me a fascist? I kind of root for V in this movie, but the people he hates have a lot of similarities to myself.

It's like modern morality looks down on any kind of religious faith or patriotism. I'm only 23 and I feel like a dinosuar.

  • @louthegiantcookie

I don't particularly care about your faith, but why are you proud to be English? Did you do something to be allowed into that prestigious position of honour?

Being proud to be English is like being proud to be white. It's totally meaningless and says nothing about you. All you do is attach yourself to a group that *happens* to contain great individuals. No one is great *because* of an arbitrary label.

Far better it is to be proud of what you have done, not what you are.

  • @nashertheatheist Disagree.

  • Comment removed

  • @14597ojai

Yes, it's harmless (well, mostly...) and yes, you absolutely have the right to take pride in your nationality. But it's also pretty pointless and leaves you open to exploitation in one more way by those who might disagree with you in every way but your patriotism. Those like the BNP or UKIP who exploit it to harmful ends.

UKIP in particular. How many of those who vote UKIP know that they want to ban the burkha, fund homoeopathy and deny anthropogenic global warming, for example?

  • @nashertheatheist Alright, now im really getting to see what you mean. So yes, I agree on that point (That it may be harmless but it does leave one open to exploitation.) But giving oneself pride in something, anything, is part of remaining positive as well as a simple human instinct. Every person has something practiacally meaningless that they are proud of whether they know it or not. But i do see your point.

  • @nashertheatheist Can you blame people for wanting to ban the burkha? Really? No sane person likes segregated societies and Muslims do seem to have a tendancy to cut themselves off from other people. Maybe forced intergration is the only real solution.

  • @louthegiantcookie

If you want to help end segregated societies, it is far better to do things like banning faith schools rather than choosing what other people are allowed to wear. Faith schools enforce segregation in the new generations, whilst banning the burkha merely imposes an arbitrary rule on one very specific group of people. It's not even consistent. Why should EDL protesters be allowed to cover their faces if Muslims can't?

I do think passport photos should show the face, though.

  • @louthegiantcookie the bad guys in this movie aren't supposed to be bad because they have faith or patriotism its because they use this faith to gain control over peoples lives.

  • Rush Limbaugh, if he were British.

  • @gregtestagent Sean Hannity if he was British.

  • 1:30

  • Lewis Prothero should have been brainwashed in the movie. It would have been a great scene

  • Why is Monthy Python's Bycicle repairman in the related videos?

  • he's right about the Muslims though.

  • Don't be surprised by the whole medical supply shortage thing he says here. I just stumbled across this and even though it's just a movie that shortage thing is TRUE! I work in a pharmacy as a technician (pharmacists assistant) and we've been told to expect major drug shortages this coming year. It's already started really. We've been having lots of trouble keeping certain meds in stock and constantly have to switch brands. Sometimes we go days without meds you'd think are common.

  • @hop208 It's not just our pharmacy or our company. Every pharmacy be it a chain or individually owned is having this trouble and the way corporate has been pushing vaccines this year, you'd think they a planning for a pandemic.

  • I'm a God-fearing Englishman and I'm God DAMNED proud of it!

  • Please!!!!! This speech is all Obama right now!!!!!!

  • WHO'S BLOODY WITH ME!!?

  • the resemblance to Fox News is scaring my pants off

  • So I see Glen Beck is still alive and kicking in 2020

  • Another Proto Prothero is that Bryan Fischer from the American Family Association spewing his hate on his afternoon radio show.

  • Another Proto Prothero is that Bryan Fischer from the American Family Association spewing his hate on his afternoon radio show.

  • V for Vendetta is what would happen if Fox News was British.

  • 1 dislike? They must be from the former United states.

  • didnt he also play an antagonist in "The Wind That Shakes the Barley"?

  • yes, this film has it's moments and this speech is very good at setting a very dark image but the original graphic novel is far better.

  • I like V in this scene. He's a little sexy.

  • 1 Person is rebelling against the system.

  • Godlessness? Isn't USA one of the most fundamentalist country in western culture?

  • @TiikerinKarva

According to the storyline the US abandons religion as the entire country turns to plague, death, ect.

  • @TiikerinKarva

People say they believe in God, but have absolutely no morals.

A people who are demoralized have no way of defending themselves, their families, their communities, or their country.

In America's case, they took away all our God-giving rights right under our noses. And thanks to apathy, fear, and ignorance, the people have no sure way to defend themselves.

Our history has been rewritten. The people sit down all day getting brainwashed by TV and never read books.

  • @TiikerinKarva

America is following the same path as Nazi Germany did.

All the propaganda in movies and news.

Using the two party system(Republican/Democrat) to divide the people. Using the American flag to control the masses with so called "patriotism".

Promoting homosexuality, demonizing militias, promoting martial law through movies, etc.

They got to keep the people in fear with the death of Osama(boogeyman) to strike fear into the people. More "security", less freedom.

  • @patriotadEEUU

    That's just... no.

  • @patriotadEEUU Nazis were vehemently opposed to homosexuality. In fact, they killed gay people in the death camps. The Gestapo compiled lists of homosexuals, who were compelled to sexually conform to the "German norm." Homosexuals were subjected to medical experimentation in the hopes of finding a cure to homosexuality at the camp in Buchenwald, many of them castrated. In fact, there was a "Reich Central Office for the Combating of Homosexuality and Abortion." So get your facts straight.

  • @patriotadEEUU Oh, boy. You are a conspiracy theorist. I do not disagree, but I cannot agree with what you believe.

  • England Prevails!

    Shudderingly believable...

  • Bill O'Reilly much?

  • Thanks, British Glenn Beck...

  • GODFUCKINGLESSNESS

  • Is this FOX News' new presenter?

  • XD, Americans trying to project their failings onto Britain. I always suspected Griffin was secretly American.

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else watch Louis Prothero and think... Bill O'Reilly?

  • I guess watching V for vendetta is all that's needed to get hired at Fox News... the US used to be a stronghold of enlightment and reason as the storm of human stupidity razed against it's shores, but I guess USA sadly wasn't strong enough.

  • My favorite part of this speech is "it wasn't the war they started, it wasn't the plague they created, it was JUDGEMENT". I find this part hilarious. I don't know Lewis.... all those things seem like the type of stuff that cripple nations.

  • hehehehe tea party.. hehehehe

  • @andrejns93 As this film is set in the not too distant future, it is a hypothetical world where the U.S.A. no longer exists, or does under a new name.

    That's my guess anyway :)

  • @darkphoenix229 you mean as colones of the English

I watched the movie but didn't noticed that

  • @andrejns93 I believe that it is stated (if not in the film then in the original comic) that the USA is in a constant state of civil war.

  • @andrejns93

It became a leper colony after they messed up their nation. Britain reclaimed the USA.

I love this film because it is more relevant in 2010 then it was in 2005.

    Norsefire kicks ass.

  • @andrejns93 i think he's simply saying at the time the movie is set in that everything in the states is completely chaotic and that in regards to control and decisions being made, opinions etc that the states are no longer united

  • @andrejns93 The movie takes place in the future. In the time, the US is hit by a massive pandemic. Its docks and airports are shut down, and through the sheer pandemonium, the government was completely dissolved.

  • @cobian91 YES I GET IT

  • @andrejns93 that you are broke. China owns your ass.

  • @Ko252 Im not from America Im from Serbia

and Im getting a reply on my comment every single day so im tired of it

  • @andrejns93 stop reading it. Delete it, etc. Why whine, when you got so many options?

  • Fox News should hire this guy!

  • @gunseng2 they would have a field day.

  • @gunseng2 I like Fox News.

  • @gunseng2 lol... Fox

  • @gunseng2 They already did. They called him Glenn Beck instead.

  • I listen to this characters speach and I immediately think back to the NAZI propaganda ministry telling the German people and the world of how superior they were and how inferior their enemies were. In a nutshell that's what this speech is all about. Propoganda...

  • This is the future I want to live in. Hopefully the liberals intelligentsia get done in as well

  • Former United States? Thats Awesome!

  • As funny as some may think it looks like this is coming true...

  • V for Vendetta will happen if the BNP sweep to power

  • @englishfrenchgerman The BNP are the butt of just about all political jokes... in fact, there are no more jokes right now 'cos no one's heard from them since, what? Two years ago? But yeah, I can still see the danger of them or a group like them sweeping to power, but I doubt that they will do so with an idiot like Nick Grffin in charge. Just be greatful he is running the party and not somebody more clever and determined.

  • @AD3PTUZ Unfortuantely for Britain, Griffin's resigning in 2013. Let's just hope he's replaced by some loud-mouthed hooligan who the right-minded people won't listen to. But the worst that could happen is that he's replaced by a charismatic fearmonger who uses the insecurities and intolerances that have been building up since 9/11 to get him/herself elected into Downing Street. I pray fervently to God that that never happens.

  • British Beck?

  • "Violence against violence is all we have left."

Honestly, the more violence you cause, the more worse you'll make the US economy, and perhaps, you might even use fear and anger as the only solution against the government. That is the same propaganda used by Lenin and hitler when they risen to power.

  • @CoreyStudios2000 Funny, I thought the tired fear mongering in your post was the kind of propaganda Hitler and STALIN used.

But, I guess I'm just being prejudiced.

  • @williamskidfears you don't get it, do you? I am not making fear mongering. I'm warning you that violence will make you no better than the nazis. I believe that its you being the prejudice by claiming yourself being prejudiced and calling me a big joke. This is why no is getting the real point of this.

  • Wow Sean Hannity did a great job playing himself in this movie!

  • No one escapes their past...how strangely ironic for Louis....

  • This guy only seems to think in bumper stickers and one-liners.

  • Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Joef Goebbels, and the list will be endless.

Unless we the people take up arms and shut them up permanently....

  • Holy shit its Glenn Beck!

  • Reminds me of Keith Olbermann.

  • @KooturKoot not yet, NOT YET. look to my coming though.

  • It's like watching O'Reilly

  • @bregowine Except O'Reilly is American and therefore less intelligent.

  • I didn't know that Glen Beck was in V for Vendetta. Guess I should have payed more attention to the credits - lol!

  • "hamasexuals.."

  • Whoo. 10,000 view. Epic film.

  • He's like Glenn Beck, but so much more articulate.

  • Just imagine how many fans Beck would have if he talked like Prothero.

  • @theshlauf That is not something I would like to consider.

  • @theshlauf Way too many.

  • @TomWDemarco

    i like Glenn.

  • @TomWDemarco actually, he is alot like Nick Griffin

  • @TomWDemarco Why do you not like Glenn Beck? Just wondering.

  • @jaymeeharkeen

    Haha.

  • Hey look, it's Richard Littlecock! (or for that matter any Daily Mail commentator if they were given a talk show!)

"We tolerated those obeese Muslim homosexual liberal immigrant Queen-hating hip-hop listening working mother benefit scrounging degenerates for too long! Stealing our jobs! Lowering our property values! Making our innocent God-fearing kids think it's OK to be different! Not likely! They HAD to go!"

Orwell was right about the Two Minutes' Hate...

  • and finally, if 2012 election has elected a pro-fascist president instead of Obama, Sarah Palin, or another candidate, then your Nazi America will be real. even some times anarchy can lead to dictatorships. ex. reichstag fire, Stalin's great purge, and Mussolini's march on Rome.

  • Why do you keep talking about anarchy, nazi's, and communism? Have you been under a rock the last 50 years?

  • im just guessing. who da hell really did it? someone must have hijacked a plane and made us think it was the USA doing it. probably some FBI going out of control and trying to kill the president and take over america or maybe Nazis from Brazil, where the Nazis escaped from Germany. The US senate better be careful, otherwise they're gonna be the NWO's first victims.

  • or maybe Britain or france or spain or japan?

  • That's more like a talk show and its a racist one. How dare they fight against America? down with norsefire!!!

  • Couldn't Glenn Beck sue this movie for copying him?

  • @Xero No, he's too busy having three other guys write HIS version of V for Vendetta, aka The Overton Window.

As scary as it is unreadable.

  • BTN = Fear mongering

    Fear mongering = FOX News

    BTN = FOX News

  • @CamiloSanchez1979 fuck u crazy shit

  • CoreyStudios2000 = ignorance

  • Wow. Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh fused themselves together and moved to London.

  • @packets1

why? why do you guys not like these men?

  • @jaymeeharkeen

Why do we not like these men? Because they are dangerous hatemongers. Whatever their motive....personal career or if they actually believe it, they are dangerous, they spew hate and resentment with their rhetoric, very often speak total lies and are inciting parts of the population to extremism.

Listen to Lewis Prothero's speech here, and then go listen to a few Beck and Limbaugh shows. This seems tame compared to a good many of them.

  • @packets1 Yeah. Lies, half-lies, distortions, smears, dirty tricks. . . This is from the Book of Wisdom, an Apocrypha book of the Bible. Chapter 2 1 For the ungodly said, reasoning with themselves, but not aright, 10 Let us oppress the poor righteous man, let us not spare the widow, nor reverence the ancient gray hairs of the aged. Let our strength be the law of justice: for that which is feeble is found to be nothing worth. Sound familiar?

  • Why does this remind of FOX News so much?? lol hahahaha Lewis Prothero is exactly like all the FOX anchors. He's like a mix between Bill O'Reilly and Anne Coulter.

  • Very very ironic, if you play it into a mirror, but then with George Orwell's books scrubbed from the internet, I don't suppose anyone knows what Orwellian doublespeak is anymore?

  • Hey look, we have to bomb people for peace.

  • I do... Well I am a student of English Literature.

  • @LinnTractorNut Orwellianism is so pointless just like anarchism. that's why we have to use non-violent revolt and liberalism against fascism, communism, and extremist-capitalism to obtain private ownership, independence, freedom, and human rights. Everyone got messed up by 9?11 and though that Islam or America did it but truth is that people got nuts and decide to kill themselves and blame Americans and muslims. could it be anarchists supporting the former USSR or China?

  • @LinnTractorNut and what about Britain or France?

  • @LinnTractorNut Only too well. We believe in preachers preaching hate is love, we embrace politicians who tell us freedom is slavery and slavery is freedom, while we tell ourselves that lies are truth, war is peace, and ignorance is bliss.

  • So's I saw Glenn Beck on TV and was instantly reminded of this speech.

Glad I'm not the only one that sees the similarities.

  • Rebel, you have no idea what you're talking about do you?

  • Actually, I do. Google Novae Militiae Secession Time. And then buzz off, annoying fly.

  • "Liberalism is the belief in the importance of individual freedom."

"Fascism, pronounced /ˈfæʃɪzəm/, is a political ideology that seeks to combine radical and authoritarian nationalism with a corporatist economic system, and which is usually considered to be on the far right of the traditional left-right political spectrum."

See how liberalism emphasizes PERSONAL FREEDOM, and fascism emphasizes AUTHORITARIAN NATIONALISM.

You can't base your whole argument on one blog post.

  • I don't base it on one blog post. I wrote that blog entry based on decades of the study of political philosophy.

And that far surpasses basing one's argument on selective dictionary defintions.

    Now, go away.

  • Decades of study, eh? Care to explain exactly what studies you did for decades?

You define things based on contextual examples that you choose, and anything that doesn't agree isn't considered.

And what's wrong with dictionary definitions? Those definitions can be found in just about any dictionary. If what you think is liberalism doesn't fit the definition, then it clearly isn't liberalism. I suggest you figure out the difference between liberalism and egalitarianism.

  • @r0l4ns i agree. there is a big difference between the two. Private ownership is liberalist but fascism is not private, it is ownership of the state that is true fascism.

  • @r0l4ns God, when will you people get it through your heads that it isn't about left vs. right, but US vs. THEM.

That's what it boils down to. Regardless of any avowed political philosophy, those in power have only one true cause.

    Themselves.

Anyone else falls into one of two categories: Those frightened enough. and willfully ignorant enough to let themselves be used, and those who are too defenseless, too innocent, too DIFFERENT to be anything but crushed under the boots of those in power.

  • RipsnortinRebel, you are so correct. Everytime I've seen even a minute of Olbermann or Matthews, all they ever talk about is how God has judged this country for its tolerance of Muslims and homosexuality, and that we should round them up and put them in camps.

I never put the pieces together until right now. I can't imagine how they've gotten away with this fascism all this time.

I hope Fox News can counter them with a message of tolerance and acceptance of Muslims and homosexuality.

  • And Bush's great grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a Nazi.

Seems there is a lot of fascists in our government.

  • @IndigoVagrant anarchist pig! try communism and see how more worst it is. They got labor camps and discriminate religion and make the same cheap stuff, u pig!!!

  • You don't even know what you are talking about.

Communism doesn't exist today. China is basically a corporate oligarch that stomps out resistance to the Corporate State.

  • @IndigoVagrant lol. Of course there is communism. It still exists, but only in Cuban and the far east.

  • Cuba isn't a threat, and as far as the "far east" goes, there isn't any danger there.

Unless you mean China, which is NOT communist by any means. It is an authoritarian corporate oligarchy, a very extreme version of neoconservative/neoliberal economics. There is nothing "collective" or democratic about China, and it hardly follows any Marxist principles or even Mao's founding doctrines. It is market privatization and State control all in one, not too unlike America. Luckily we have backbone.

  • I really see nothing wrong with communism, but i think there needs to be some altarnate methord of acheiving this common good while still protecting the kapitalist pig inside everyone.

  • @Hjaltithehun oh really? go tell it to dead old ronald reagan and george washington. Or go learn some real history, unless you want to live in a force labor camp in communist north korea. thats what most communist countries have.

  • @CoreyStudios2000 George Washington would've opposed the war in Iraq, by the way.

    And NATO.

  • @williamskidfears maybe so, because this is not his time. He is already dead, but still remembered. And second, George Washington would not accept left-wing uprisings either. You think that you have no choice but to destroy the government, but truth is that we all have our choices. Violence only leads to more violence.

  • @CoreyStudios2000 "George Washington would not accept left-wing uprisings either."

    Really?!

The leader of a violent revolution against his government-later the leader of a nation conceived in said violent revolution-wouldn't accept revolution, even though the Founding Fathers made it perfectly clear in the Declaration of Independence that violent revoultion is the right of a people trampled on by a government who had denied them all reasonable discourse.

  • @CoreyStudios2000 "this is not his time"

Irrelevant, entangling alliances are an excuse for imperialism then and now.

Wars on foreign soil having nothing to do with national defense are an excuse for imperialism then and now.

    He knew that then.

  • @CoreyStudios2000 "Violence only leads to more violence."

And, sitting on your hands, turning the other cheek so someone can kick your ass, encourages even more violence from a nation born in violence, bred for violence, whose every response to stimuli is violence or the threat of violence.

Like the colonists, every reasonable alternative has been tried and thrown back in our faces by the empowered minority.

Violence against violence is all we have left.

  • @Hjaltithehun If you see nothing wrong with communism, you have not seen communism. Communism is only a tool for those who would inact tyranny over "the masses".

  • Hahah it's funny cause you're wrong. That's not the definiton of communism, but is often labeled as communism. Of course i know that communism has failed, but the idea the core principle of communism is what i agree with.

  • @Hjaltithehun i agree with you. i like the idea of communism. all those nations who claimed to be communist were really state capitalist. they followed none of marx's principals or ideals.

  • @chafaclon Marx himself said that the proletariat cannot use the machinery of the burgeoisie to free themselves.

As for Communism, it's like Christianity or Islam, Judaism, democracy, the flag, multiple etc....just an excuse for the greedy and the powerful to take and hold power over others. They all have one thing in common: They care only for themselves and didn't give a shit for God, country or Karl Marx.

  • @iKangaroorat As is religion, democracy, flags, capitalism, and anything else they can get their filthy hands on.

  • @Hjaltithehun the core idea is "golden" but cant really work in the world we live in now and all these who jump to their toes screaming how bad it is, just shows how much they know about the subject, which is VERY little...

  • @IndigoVagrant Considering Teddy Roosevelt is to blame for many of Hitler's theories on "racial purity," that hardly comes as a great shock.

  • Glenn beck!

  • I heard Lewis Prothero raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.
