i get consistent 45 fps once its running, i recommend shader warming, the R3 laggs for the first minute of game play. With shader warming it takes longer to load, but this lag disappears. All my other settings are full except for AA which is 2x. I actually find black ops to run really smoothly now, especially when compared to my R2
@thedarkdomino I have turbo boost running, verified using CPU-Z, processor runs at 2.6GHz for the most part when needed and the Nvidia GPU is also active. This is the only game that does it. Modern Warfare 2 I can play without issues.
What kind of frame rate do you get whilst playing Black Ops? I have this exact laptop and my performance is extremely inconsistent, performance jumps all over ranging from 15fps - 70fps in a matter of seconds.
@A9900960 I do indeed, everything is running as it should (according to monitoring programs like CPU-Z) yet the problem still persists, the only game that I experience this inconsistency is Black Ops.
@GeneticInferno then its the video card also note that black ops is directx 9 not 10 i would recommend installing directx 9. the installation might be in the call of duty black ops folder in the program files.

Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 run decently even on the original M11x.
You probably have something set wrong if you're getting huge slowdowns.
