I think Jason did know about AJ at the time, he just didn't care because the accident happened to Jason Q and he'd transformed into Jason M. From what I remember, Jason started to hate the Qs on his own because they would not accept that he had changed. I'm sure S&C's opinion helped but it wasn't the deciding factor.
These guys alwasy got alone and Jason was mad when he found out about AJ driving drunk causing his accident.
But these guys always got alone except when AJ tried to make Jason be Jason Quartermaine it was Carly and Sonny who turned Jason against his family.
Jason didn't remember them but it was all the things that Sonny and Carly told Jason about how mean his family was to him, The Qs wanted jason back as Jsson the son they knes. So the pressured him to get mental to remember but he can't
