Excelfun, you are indeed the greatest FUN teacher I've ever come across!
Thanks for posting these series which makes learning fun, which is something it ought to be FUN, and also explaining difficult things and helping many of us overcome fear which is something that incredibly keeps many of us from learning new things.-
Thanks again, this is the second time I am watching this series. I realized again that this is a very useful series. Unfortunately, this time I had some difficulties about applying the things explained. I changed my computer and I installed excel again, but now I can't use the alt equals function. (alt+shift+4) What can be the reason of it?
don't forget u can select a range and overlook at the lower status bar and you'll automatically see the sum (if option is selected and being used. Right click, on status bar, to open 'selection prompt')
f'ing amazing, I always thought my self as Excel proficient but you made me feel like a newbie...lol....thank you, i am following along with all your lesons
EXCELlent!!! I am glad that this Excel videos Series helps! After this Series, you should watch the Highline Excel Class Series - it has 5 times the content of the Basics Series!

Mitsu2040 7 months ago
It looks for numbers.

@ExcelIsFun another question: at 2:18, why is it a " * " in the formula instead of " - " or " / "?
Mitsu2040 7 months ago in playlist Tutorials
* is multiplication.
ExcelIsFun 7 months ago
@ExcelIsFun so you multipli the gross pay to the deduction?
Mitsu2040 7 months ago
Yes.
ExcelIsFun 7 months ago
@ExcelIsFun Ok, thanks for clarifying that, I would've thought you had to use minus instead.
Mitsu2040 7 months ago
It's tax. Gross*TaxRate.

Alt + =

@ExcelIsFun
I was consistently trying use the function by pressing + instead of =. Now I got rid of the problem. Thanks again for your great exertion.

I have a question, is there a way to prepare a spreadsheet when you get the information vertical, like this
Jan
Feb
Mar
But you need it orizontal?What is the easiest way to change it? is there a formula that can help me to relocate or change from vertical to orizontal?
Thanks
