@345Autobot One would assume that if she's able to travel in a spiral of magic and take the shape and power of a dragon, she can appear in any form she chooses. Why would the self-proclaimed "mistress of all evil" assume a squat, amusing shape like that of the other fairies? She's tall, graceful, and incredibly imposing in the shape she's chosen, which I would guess is her intent.

I don't remember Maleficent killing a single soul in this movie. She attempted to by putting a death curse on the Princess Aurora, which was lessened to ageless sleep vs. death. Near the end of the movie, she tried to kill Prince Philip my turning into a dragon, but she was unsuccessful. However, she is ranked number 1 by most people as the most wicked and powerful Disney Villain of all time.

I was kind'a wondering that with the powers that Maleficent had, it would be hard to believe that a material sword piercing her heart would cause her to die, but I know it's just a movie. It's like the scene where Ursala (The Sea Witch) had King Triton's powers when she was really huge at the surface of the ocean, Prince Eric stabbed her with the ship that had a sharp broken piece of wood at the front of it. Ursala then died and the spell was broken for all the people she put a curse on.

Here's a little fact for you all. Eleanor Audley, who voiced Maleficent and also the cruel stepmother in Cinderella (yes, you recognised her voice didn't you? ;P) actually wanted to turn down the role of Maleficent because she was suffering from Tuberculosis at the time. Disney pleaded with her and she eventually changed her mind.. with the TB giving Maleficent that signature husky voice. :)

Only flaw I noticed here was when she gets the sword in her heart. She then falls onto her chest. Wouldn't that have pushed the sword even deeper into her? And yet when she is falling you can see that it isn't. Odd...
