@SuPrAmAd101 well there's a huge amount of clean energies we can use,, infact there so many that would keep us worry free about energies for years to come.. hope you have a great day !!! and yes those trees give you the air you breath ,,, but oil gets you around,, and thats all that matters to you?
ok peace chill out no need to make your self look ignorant on the net ,,,
@Masterfilm15 ok... so would you like to tell me how i could travel 30 miles round trip to work each day using wind power or water power?
Im glad we have tree's and i have recently planted another 5 in my garden, but the simple fact is, little green people like you will not spoil my life just because you dont believe in it, if you dont like it... fuck off and live under the sea.
@SuPrAmAd101 well the information and energies are out there,,, reading your comments leads me to believe your selfish rude and narrow minded... because again you base your whole view off your wants and life and no other,,, do you have kids? if not thats why,, if so wake up and smell the oil fumes your young ones will be breathing,,, being bashful to an outside view to yours is simple dumb and not being very aware your life dose not matter to the over all picture of this world
@strandhogg The cutting part of the bit is made of tungsten carbide, they're very hard inserts and believe it or not these do break as hard as they are. Only natural diamond bits are mostly made of raw diamond, these are used for really hard formations like dolomite which have to be grinded thru, the bit in the video is a roller cone bit. PDC bits (no moving parts) usually have sinthetic diamond on the diamond table of their cutters.
I used to be an exec with 'brand x' bits prior to crossing over. These type of videos you have to wonder exactly does what? What's the use? Not popular to say, but I see no value. Also bits cut.
@IDEAVIZ So that means it´s a sound example from an apple program that was included in that video? No idea what the origin of that song is, band name, song name? I like it anyway!
neat video either way.. left right... its interresting how the bits work.. the way it looks drilling underground... all I get to see is the samples that come up...
working in the gulf is the best job I ever had. Went bust back in 1982, Messed up my back 2years after that. That ended any hope of returning to the oil patch. That just kills me ever time I think about it. Nothing like working at sea.
No it's drilling mud. Has many functions but the main two are to help maintain wellbore pressure so the well does not collapse under pressure and it helps keep the bit cool and lubricated. It also carries the cuttings to the surface.
@mrcutssupreme Main functions are to maintain hydrostatic pressure in the wellbore to keep the high pressure oil and gas out so it doesn't reach surface uncontrolled ie. blowout. And yes, to remove cuttings. Cooling and lubing the bit happens, but it is not something that is taken into consideration when selecting mud, it isn't necessary. You can drill with air which doesn't do nearly as much cooling or lubing, or prevent a well from collapsing.
is the drill pipe turning in the right direction? hahaha

What is the grey liquid wich is coming out of the tube?
JoeDrumstick 3 years ago
I believe it's steam, so it takes the mud off and stabilize the pressure of the walls, so that they do not fall.
