Cancer cells have an enzyme, beta-glucosidase, which, when comes into contact with B17, converts it into two molecules of glucose- a molecule of benzaldehyde and a molecule of hydrogen cyanide. This poisons the cancer cell. Normal cells contain the enzyme rhodanese and this converts the B17 into food to nourish the cell. This enzyme rhodanese is not found in the cancer cell. Thus there is a two way lock system preventing harm to normal cells, while poisoning/killing cancer cells.

B17 is just a drug and not an actual vitamin. B17 was actually falsely labeled as a vitamin by a chemist who wanted to capitalize on the vitamin fad at that time and sneak it past the FDA. Vitamin B17 has a major flaw. When you take amygdalin(B17), cyanide is released into your body which can cause sickness and even death in high doses.
Amygdalin isn't even classified as a vitamin. Ernst Krebs tried to have it classified as a vitamin so it would not fall under regulations regarding the marketing of drugs. i.e. so he would be able to make false claims about amygdalin without coming under scrutiny of the FDA.

If I had cancer, I would do what I could to try to help the problem, but with the economy the way it is right now and so many cancer treatments out there it can become a real burden.
Luckily, my father got into a profession that makes a lot of money. So he was able to afford treatment and he also changed his diet to seafood, legumes, vegetables and fruits only.
Uh, fish is included in seafood because... fish come from the sea and we eat them as food. I never asked him why he eat seafood. I know that he LOVES seafood even before the cancer. He will eat anything that came from the sea. But seafood has a lot of good minerals and fats. Maybe he figured the Japanese eat sea food and they are known as a healthy culture, so he didn't give up his fave food. Sometimes he eats chicken and egg.
I think if you had cancer you would try the simplest things (that have been brought to your attention) first. Then move on to the more risky things like mainstream pills, chemo and surgery. What disturbs me, as I think it does all of you is that people in serious pain could be significantly helped and even cured without too much effort, but arn't because of ignorance and greed. People have a right to do what they want with their own bodies, simple.
No one's challenging peoples' right to do what they want with their own bodies. We're merely informing them that taking vitamin supplements to cure cancer is like attacking a tank with a toothpick.
The stuff they use to threat cancer is called Laetrile and is a half - syntetic version of B17 (as found in peach and so on). It is wrong to call this vitamin B17 (or Amygdalin). And there is no documentet proof that it helps against cancer.. (more under)
It helps release cyanide (or "blue acid") and the theory is that this should kill only cancer cells and not other cells..
The fact is that cyanide is poison for the body and kills all types of cells. It`s therefore many people dying in this ande other types of alternative cancer threatments. But the scientists are of course trying! And we should pray that they find a cure one time in the future... (Sorry for bad english) =)
I think people have been brainwashed to think that cancer is a complex abnormality that requires complex technology and subsequent treatment. Yet, the answer maybe simple - B17.

Perhaps the burden of proof should be on those who can provide evidence that vitamin d17 doesn't work.

Cancer cells have an enzyme, beta-glucosidase, which, when comes into contact with B17, converts it into two molecules of glucose- a molecule of benzaldehyde and a molecule of hydrogen cyanide. This poisons the cancer cell. Normal cells contain the enzyme rhodanese and this converts the B17 into food to nourish the cell. This enzyme rhodanese is not found in the cancer cell. Thus there is a two way lock system preventing harm to normal cells, while poisoning/killing cancer cells.

B17 is just a drug and not an actual vitamin. B17 was actually falsely labeled as a vitamin by a chemist who wanted to capitalize on the vitamin fad at that time and sneak it past the FDA. Numerous studies conducted in various countries have found B17 ineffective in cancer treatments, including collaborations of volunteers dedicated to providing proper research of pharmaceuticals. It's not a global conspiracy people!!! Plus B17 is highly toxic. It decomposes in the body to produce cyanide.

They have done countless studies on this stuff and it has been proven not work already, its pseudoscience. A simple vitamin cant repair damage caused by radiaton in water or other chemicals you are exposed to on a daily basis no matter how clean your diet is. Cancer is caused, in many ways, by mutations at the most fundamental level - in DNA. What's more is that there is often a combination of multiple defects in the DNA of as few as just one cell that interact to cause cancer. How, pray tell, can a vitamin cure that? Although Big Pharm is definitely dirty and profit driven, this isn't an example. If you're absolutely convinced, pool your money and fund a study. I'm sure someone would love to win a Nobel Prize for it if it were true!

He claims the only time scientists know the cyanide to be released from B17 is when it comes into contact with a cancer cell. What does everyone here know about this?

Vitamin B17 has a major flaw. When you take amygdalin(B17), cyanide is released into your body which can cause sickness and even death in high doses.
Amygdalin isn't even classified as a vitamin. Ernst Krebs tried to have it classified as a vitamin so it would not fall under regulations regarding the marketing of drugs. i.e. so he would be able to make false claims about amygdalin without coming under scrutiny of the FDA.
Do your homework and don't believe everything you see on the Internet.

1) Don't smoke.
2) Don't marry a smoker.
3) Drink in moderation (ethanol happens to be a carcinogen).
4) Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
5) Maintain a healthy bodyweight; obesity is linked to several kinds of cancer.
6) Get regular checkups/screenings. This means breast for women, prostate for men and colorectal for both.
7) Know that roughly half of all cancers are idiopathic, i.e. they arise from no discernable origin.

The reason your father got cancer could have been genetics or something in his daily life. It can't "just happen" so to speak, there is always a reason. If I had cancer, I would do what I could to try to help the problem, but with the economy the way it is right now and so many cancer treatments out there it can become a real burden.

Uh, fish is included in seafood because... fish come from the sea and we eat them as food. I never asked him why he eat seafood. I know that he LOVES seafood even before the cancer. He will eat anything that came from the sea. But seafood has a lot of good minerals and fats. I think if you had cancer you would try the simplest things (that have been brought to your attention) first. Then move on to the more risky things like mainstream pills, chemo and surgery. What disturbs me, as I think it does all of you is that people in serious pain could be significantly helped and even cured without too much effort, but arn't because of ignorance and greed. People have a right to do what they want with their own bodies, simple.

The stuff they use to threat cancer is called Laetrile and is a half - syntetic version of B17 (as found in peach and so on). It is wrong to call this vitamin B17 (or Amygdalin). And there is no documentet proof that it helps against cancer.. (more under)

The fact is that cyanide is poison for the body and kills all types of cells. It`s therefore many people dying in this ande other types of alternative cancer threatments. Science by definition is incapable of proving itself right, it is only capable of proving itself wrong.
I do not believe that anyone would deliberately withhold a cure for cancer from the world (everyone is touched by cancer after all) but i believe that there have been oversights made before in the history of medicine and having seen the whole documentary i gotta say i'm pretty swayed.
Perhaps the burden of proof should be on those who can provide evidence that vitamin d17 doesn't work.
