Lol she looks like me when I was 17. I love Labyrinth too and I write for hours on end. All the sitting involved with writing can really kill a person's health though. I always gain weight whenever I write religiously and my back starts to kill. It's just so wonderful to get lost in your own literature though!

Really happy for her, but to all you authors out there, be careful... this is not the norm, you will still have to market your book like crazy and still will probably not have a smidgeon of this lady's success. Do not let that discourage you, but this kind of publishing is not really easier than regular publishing.

@chukmaty Actually, it's TONS easier, and as the traditional publishers go bankrupt, it'll become even easier, when the public realizes this is the new model for writers.

What I like about e-publishing, which I've been doing for years, is that I have 100 percent creative control, take 100 percent of the profit, and can put a book up moments after it's finished.

A readers at publishing houses should be people who know good writing and good stories, period and decide based on THAT. Simple, no?

Here is a girl who did not allow OTHER to determine if she was a good writer or not. I don't care if she is not the best writer in the world, she is clearly good or people wouldn't be reading it.

I'm happy for her and I hope she keeps that sweet, real quality she has now. It's just money and honestly, thinking about the money too much can kill what you are even writing for.

This is a great wake up call to all the big publishing houses out there to get their heads out of their asses.
