The leader of the dam busters raid had a dog named Nigger. It snot supposed to be offensive in any way. If you watch the film 'The Dambusters' you will see the dog referenced

Wow, camp must have been great! Did you get to fly in the old Lancaster? Even the owls fly well! The model planes look great too!

nope we didn't... you had to win a raffle to get to fly in it...
