tim clearly was struggling with masculinity issues and his identity as a man. i think that's why the focus of his identity crisis was bears: big, strong, intimidating--in short, everything he felt he wasn't, but should be. multiple times he talks about his problems with women and how 'it would be so much easier to just be gay'. it's easy to write him off as lunatic, but i think he's just an extreme example of the poisonous effect our society is having on men and masculinity.

In order to speed up lean muscle growth & milk production the meat & dairy industry injects cows with 6 synthetic versions of steroid hormones, the faster the animals grow & the more milk produced, the more money they can make. Estrogen is one of those hormones. There r arguments for & against the danger of us eating animals injected with these hormones, none of which there is time to get into here, but I will say that I don't eat meat or dairy.

I know, he was crazy. But there are such people like him we need to get more knowledge. That he is not no was killed earlier by the bears was just a coincidence. But I'm dead proud of him. And for what he did for the rest of us ''normal'' people.

I dunno, there's only so much you can do as a park ranger people. Had they removed him I think he would've just moved his work elsewhere. One thing is for sure, Treadwell cared deeply for animals. But he drastically misunderstood park services. Timothy broke the cardinal rule, which is toying with animal instincts. It doesn't matter how many bears you bond with, all it takes is one slip and you take your own life as well as the animals'.
