  • So, so cool!!! love it!

  • I believe it was the early 90's at the Broadway theatre in the Bronx when one of the best assemblage of Doo Wop ever went down. When Lillian Leach started blowing this, I stood up in amazement, looked around the audience, stunned at what I was hearing. It was one of three times in my doo wop life, I can say I was awestruck at a live performance.

  • I count Lillian as one of my good friends. She, like so many other successful groups of the 50's went to Morris H.S. in the Bronx. Lil is still going around the country and still singing. She, in her 70's now, has not missed a beat. Great pipes.

  • It doesn't get better than this

  • Probably the cleanest version I ever heard, beats the rhino and relic reissue

  • One of my favorite songs of all time. Too bad music like this is so unappreciated!!

  • Forever memorable.

  • I have the Davis 45, but not this one. Does Davis owned Jay-Dee? I'm not really sure.

  • the more of my 45s i look for, the more you have posted. thanx. too late to keep mine in mint condition but i don' have to worry about using up the needle on my phonograph any more. you are the best

  • I loved it....growing up in the Bronx in the fifties...this was one of the many records

(mostly 78's)...we listened to and danced to at the day parties (while our mothers were at work)....Smoke From Your Cigarette...has got to be one of the best

doo-wop recordings of that time....Lillian's work on this recording was truly

    outstanding...what a voice....Thanks....Willie

  • Wow, I really do miss my copy of the 78... sounds great!!

  • wonderful- 2 covers of this later.

    Fabulons and Belmonts.

    Both interesting (I prefer Fabulons)

  • Ute returns.

  • ahhhhh yes!!!!! This is good !!!!

    thankyou,

    kj

  • this was one of the groups my first girlfriend played that got me hooked on doo-wop for life! Very cool man, thanks.

  • Loved it. Brought back my ute.

How do I burn it on to a CD or DVD?

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man you did it again, another fine cut.

  • This was a great one. What I like so much about it in addition to the instrumentation is the fact that the lyrics are a little more advanced than what one would normally hear on a 1950 R&B song. Isn't it Sam the Man Taylor on saxophone?

  • beautiful. thank you
