Also ich habe die ersten 5 Episoden auf Englisch gesehn. Also ich muss sagen die Kameraführung erinnert mich ziemlich an Battlestar Galactica total... die Charaktere sind mir um ehrlich zu sein überhaupt nicht sympathisch. Der Dr. Rush erinnert mich sehr stark vom aussehen an Dr. Baltar von BSG.... Um ehrlich zu sein suche ich immer Admiral Adama und Cpt. Janeway... "Battlestar Voyager" hätte besser gepasst finde ich. Also mich hats noch nicht überzeugt

Ich hoffe Stargate Universe wird besser als Atlantis. Finde, vorallem die letzten Staffeln von Atlantis nicht besonders berauschend. Kann mich damit garnet mehr identifizieren. Ich vermisse zudem sehr das gute alte SG-1 Team mit Jack. =( Wobei ich die letzten beiden Staffeln Sg-1 garnet mal so schlecht fand, auch ohne Jack war es sehr gut, mag Mitchell auch viel mehr als Sheppard.

When I heard of SGU I just said okay and then I knocked it of my mind, but now I´m a little more curious of what it is and stuff! But I don´t think it can beat SGA.. no that´s gonna be hard.. from my prespective..

one thing i hated about every Stargate/startrek episodes, is the Captain´s log writing feeling. That was the mayor change. It will get more action and more attention into the central plot, and less filling in the future. Give it a chance, it will get better each episode.

I was disappointed by the pilot episode, bad acting, bad characters (exception maybe Carlyle's character Rush), bad writing!

If the series continues like this is going to be shit. Let's hope this is a case of TNG, where they started bad and finished with class, otherwise is going to be another Voyager! And we know how that turned out! If not, go visit SF Debris!

SF Debris is a legend. I agree that this series hasn't gotten off to a good start. All the right themes are there, character development and effects and stuff. The main problem I see however is that there is a distinct lack of action that's sacrificed character development.

Series can do both like SG-1 did in early days and a bit for Mitchell in Season 9, but I think it may get better from here out.

Number 1, I loved Voyager. Number 2 the pilot was amazing, no it is not original but who doesn't like the idea of being trap in unknown territory fighting for survival. 3 the Graphic's are spectacular and this actually is developing a realistic feel to it, none of that bullshit you get with SG1 or SGA where everything works out for the best. and Number 4 yes Rush is the best damn actor on the show but they characters are still unfolding, so wait for them to find there place in it.

Alright, I'm all about a new SG series, and yeah, hopefully it will be better than Atlantis... but I have one big concern... what was the point of grabbing a lone, pathetic fatty from Earth? What key roll can he play? Why not someone with military training or a genius? Looks like he's a long-haul character, so not like they're gonna just off him in the first episode to test what's on the other side of a gate or something. Otherwise, looks promising.

I for one will not watch it. I have seen every S-G episode, SG-1, atlantis. Just when the story gets good, SyFy will pull it just like all the others.
