I am not sure why, but the word genius tends to be overused nowadays. Leonardo Davinci was a genius, Albert Einstein was a genius, Charlie Chaplin was a genius, Ben Stiller i funny but he is no genius.
Charlie Rose is somewhat a wrong platform to promote a silly comedy. But at least Tropic Thunder is a satire. It's still mind boggling when it promotes Step Brothers. I can see why Elegy being promoted in CR.
I'm not sure... whenever he does promotions with Owen Wilson or Vince Vaughn he tries to crack jokes and they're terrible. It's probably better if he just sticks to telling it straight
Yea dude--you can't watch Tropic Thunder or Zoolander, knowing that he directed and helped write both movies, and tell me the guy isn't funny. It's just the Charlie Rose style.
i think ben stiller is a better actor than a director. i loved tropic thunder, but it wasnt particularly well directed.
