I live in Edmonton and have watched Stortini's whole career. He was a god awful fighter the last couple years. He learned new techniques from Steve Mycintire,Ethan Morreau and Sheldon Souray. He has improved his fighting w fold this season. He loses some,wins some and check out him in the Colombus game dropping that dude. He is not a true heavy weight but a tough pesky middle weight!

Players like O'Reilly, Schultz, and Gillies used to fight like their opponent had slept with their wife. Even when the linesmen stepped in to break it up, they continued to fight like wild animals.

In today's NHL there's a little too much camaraderie amongst the enforcers, and not nearly enough intensity. If you want to go out for a beer after the game with the guy you fought, that's fine. But on the ice, your opponent should be your enemy.

That's because these are the staged and meaningless fights. The scraps that happen during a play when the likes of players like Kovalchuk, Iginla, and even Crosby drop the mitts, those are true anger fights.
