The Perfection of Wisdom is the greatest mantra. It is the clearest mantra, the highest mantra, the mantra that removes all suffering. This is truth that cannot be doubted. Say it so: Gone, gone, gone over, gone fully over. Awakened! So be it!
There is no old age and death, and no end to old age and death. There is no suffering, no cause of suffering, no end to suffering, no path to follow. There is no attainment of wisdom, and no wisdom to attain. The Bodhisattvas rely on the Perfection of Wisdom, and so with no delusions, they feel no fear, and have Nirvana here and now. All the Buddhas, past, present, and future, rely on the Perfection of Wisdom, and live in full enlightenment.
Nothing is born, nothing dies, nothing is pure, nothing is stained, nothing increases and nothing decreases. no feeling, no thought, no will, no consciousness. There are no eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind. There is no seeing, no hearing, no smelling, no tasting, no touching, no imagining.nor smelled, nor tasted, nor touched, nor imagined. There is no ignorance, and no end to ignorance There is nothing seen, nor heard,
@knowl3dg317 It's called The Heart Sutra and translates roughly as: Body is nothing more than emptiness, emptiness is nothing more than body. The body is exactly empty, and emptiness is exactly body. The other four aspects of human existence -- feeling, thought, will, and consciousness --are likewise nothing more than emptiness, and emptiness nothing more than they. All things are empty:
I thought 8 Diagrams was pretty good, especially this track. Damn i remember back in 2004 when dirty died i was 6 years old! but i remember watching MTV. Long Live Dirty!
@FINbball I think he meant to say slept on, which means to not really notice or get over looked. Like he didn't really appreciate ODB for all he was until it was too late.
The "Chink" you are referring to is Shifu Shi Yan Ming of USA Shaolin Temple---34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk, RZA's Shifu and My Shifu as well. He is reciting the Heart Sutra, probably the most famous mantras of Buddhism. Even though I applaud your curiosity, I am offended by your racist and ignorant choice of words.
@sisenor124 BRAVA BRAVA, NOW I CHECKED OUT THE MANTRA AND THANK YOU BUT IT'S NOT THE RIGHT ONE, I'VE CHECKED EVERYWHERE BUT IT CEASES TO EXIST UNLESS HE'S SPEACKING MANDARIN? BUT I ASSUME ITS CANTONESE!?
This is truth that cannot be doubted. Say it so: Gaté, gaté, paragaté, parasamgaté. Bodhi! Svaha! Which means... Gone, gone, gone over, gone fully over. Awakened! So be it!
no end to suffering, no path to follow. There is no attainment of wisdom, and no wisdom to attain. i hope no1 gets me wrong. I am one of the biggest Wu fans of all time they have been very motivational, inspirational and SICK. i have followed them ever since I was 9 years old and i am now 20, I have even grown out of most hip-hop but never Wu they truely something else. But this track was shhiiiiiittttttt. Im shocked that they have not made a soulful tribute as Dirty was truely a soulful chap. Gza's song 'All In Together Now' proved as a much better tribute song. peace. RIP
yo fuck that time to change the radio game on november 13th tell ya local radio stations to play dirt mcgirt fuck this bull shit rap. tell them to play only odb songs and tributes ason jones and life changes
2-i really don't like how RZA spits at the end...the sound quality just drops and it's weird
3-i don't like the asian part and it doesn't add anything, it actually takes away from this otherwise solid tribute
4-and ya it bothers me as hell that Ghost isn't there-they should have put their conflicts aside for this track..rza blamin' ghost and ghost blamin' rza...not cool
@hazie613 Ghost said he never received the beat, RZA said Ghost didn't want to contribute due to infighting at the time...it's retarded
and well, the track was recorded a year or two before the 8 Diagrams release and was to originally figure on an ODB tribute album. At that time, Cappadonna kept being an on again off again member...he wasn't an official member of the Wu during ODB's death...
dam this song just makes you think so much about things in life and everything around you im 16 and i can feel the pain in this song no rap these days are like this group anymore we need more music like this played on the radio
odb must have realized his coke bag busted open in his stomach, and deck was probably to high or drunk to do anything to help when he asked.. maybe even begged for help..
from what ive heard after ODB got out of jail Damon Dash gave him a big deal, so rather than have time to recuperate Dirty went straight back into it, which led him back to the drugs. only a few people realized he needed time to get himself together, I think thats what deck is relating to.
eh I don't think so, not from those lyrics anyway.
More like he wishes he'd seen the warning signs that his drug problem was leading to an early death and rather than letting him continue he'd stepped in and helped him get clean before an accident like that which killed him happened. Instead he let him continue because he was too "selfish" to act on it.
@Krctebra thats not why at all, stop spreading rumors. it was cause they recorded it and ghost was on tour and rza didnt even know if it was gonna be the final version.
too too sad. it is my sincere wish that we take mental illness treatment seriously and not take our mental well-being for granted. Substance abuse, depression, trying to kill the pain, what a mystery. Dirty was a complex soul admired by many. See you another time Dirty.
because its different from classic wu tang...i hated it at first, but you have to give it time to grow on you, so now i think its pretty good...probably the weakest of all the wu albums, but still a quailty album in my eyes

geez dude i wrote that like a year ago haha...but yea i agree with you people complain that they miss old school and that today's rap is wack...well for the most part today's rap is wack, but there are still artists puttin it down...i mean just look at only built 4 cuban linx 2, i think that album is awesome...your right, rap will never be the same again, but there is still a lot of quality shit coming out...slaughterhouse is a good example of that too
i dunno man listened to it a couple times..theres a few decent ones, but rza's sound wasnt right for the mood of wu-tang...it didnt sell well at all and they have a huge fan base, definately enough to go gold in these days
album wasnt shitty, people just dismissing it early because rza got a new sound on this one. yeah its not as wild as past wu-tang albums, but its still great, you just need to listen to it a few more times.
this track is the best one on the album tho, this should've had a video. and gza had the best part hands down.

Tried hard not to cry, I still can't hide the scar
And I still ask, why to God, analyzing your form
As I stood there beside your mom
And I share the blame, cuz you was calling for help, kid
Should've, would've, could've, had the time, I was selfish
I carry on your struggle, each day it really hurts me

In case anyone was wondering.
After the Gong, the Mandarin is known as "The Heart Sutra".
I'm a Buddhist, so I already know what it means.
If you get a chance, look it up, I recommend.
It's originally spoken once a person passes on in the Buddhist religion.
It's like a chant done by a monk to open the gates into their new life.
Or, rather, a newer path.

i dunno man listened to it a couple times..theres a few decent ones, but rza's sound wasnt right for the mood of wu-tang...it didnt sell well at all and they have a huge fan base, definately enough to go gold in these days

rzas sound wasnt right? rza is quite possibly the rawest member of the tang clan. one of the 9 chambers

great trak...shitty album tho
rluongo19 3 years ago
album wasnt shitty, people just dismissing it early because rza got a new sound on this one. yeah its not as wild as past wu-tang albums, but its still great, you just need to listen to it a few more times.
this track is the best one on the album tho, this should've had a video. and gza had the best part hands down.
"now im in the booth 10 feet from where he laid dead, i think about him on this song, and what he might of said".
