great work. i am trying to decide what kind of keyboard to get and you are selling me on the fp4. is there much difference between it and the 7 and 8 series? these are more expensive. i'd like to get a good rhodes sound somewhere. how is the fp4 for this?
Hi Roger, sounding great, I can't believe you play some in double time at this tempo! I love this tune but have always played it slower.how do you go about time adjusting a JA backing track without changing the key?
Yeah, I like your uptempo version of Little bs Poem. Im curious why you changed the key from Am to Cm.
Ive transpsed my lead sheet too to see if I can see what voicings you are using in your video clip. Lots of fourth voicings for sure but Im thinking you have changed the chords a bit(no problem!) as I cant see what secod chord you are playing. I dont think its Bbm7...
Anyways, nice stuff, keep your videos coming Im learning a lot!!!
I play it in the key that Bobby plays it in...F Minor. The first chord I play is a Gb7 (the melody note becomes the #11) and the second chord is FMin9.
Ok thanks, I realize that now the transposition is to F minor. However, Im curious about your alternative chords in this tune, particularly your second chord....
Im using the real book version of this tune and the second chord isnt f min 9...wish I could send you my pdf chart but youtube dosent allow it..!!
Fantastic! Now where was that bottle of sleeping pills...... Maybe I should just take the anti-depressants instead of burning the piano. Call me lot2yearn! Not enough stars available on the screen.
Whoah, man, that was masterful. I've just watched this 4 times in a row, and I can't wait to get done with this comment so I can watch it again. This is one of the best performances I've seen in a long time. Your name makes no sense to me, because it doesn't seem like you need to learn anything. I hope I can figure out 1% of what you're playing!
Great work! This is one hell of a tune and you just had to make it better! nice...

Excellent phrasing & rendition, heck now you need the vibist with 4 mallets to play, tap another note & chord comp with you. Very good playing

I wish there was somebody like you where I live to teach me to improvise like that. Any recommendations for an up and coming jazz pianist?

Nicely played. What are your FP-4 settings? Do
you use studio monitors or keyboard amplifier at home? What monitors/amplifier do you recommend for FP-7?

1:59 Yes sir! Your pentatonics are very tastefully done my friend. G.H. would surely approve of your interpretation.

and by G.H. I mean B.H.... why can't YouTube have "edit" mode like a forum? :-(

Absolutely fantastic playing, Roger.
Great lines and harmonization.
In this clear and good quality music-video (I am sure) we can all learn something new.
Also nice runs at the end.
Thanks for posting.

You have a gift for 3/4 swing. Your 16th note flurries were great. This is a great tune.
