This band is FALSE. The riffs are typical and stock, these guitar players need to learn how to go to new places besides the first 4 frets and the first 4 strings on the guitar. nothing interesting in the drumming either. The vocals are phony, the screams sound tailored to sound like every other modern overproduced "metal" band, and the whines just don't belong in the genre of metal at all. The songwriting has no originality, a simple verse-chorus-verse kind of a formula. DEATH TO FALSE METAL

@ryanl7987 RATM came from a hardcore back ground, but they weren't hardcore to me. They used many elements of it. I think everyone ties them to hardcore because of Inside Out. That's okay, but a band is usually the genre they describe themselves as. I don't think RATM ever claimed to be hardcore. They were sort of their own genre, with hardcore being one of the big influences. Their early sound would have totally fit in at a hardcore show.
