Played this album a million times. It was our anthem against Viet Nam. We would shout it out at top of our lungs: "He told 'em all to go to hell!" I was sixteen.
met a great straight guy in the 70s from usa he came to my bedsit in woodford green essex england he liked motor bikes Honda 250 g5 big bike in those days and mason profit fan call me if you remember johnhayesuk@gmail.com
i saw them a bunch of times ... the last time i was at the WAGE PEACE in oshkosh... along with SOUP ...i am looking for the lyrics of mp`s excellent song ... flying arrow... right up there with cash`s... ira hayes.... i remember a litte...MY NAME IS FLYING ARROW AND I LIVE IN ARIZONA .. WHERE LONG AGO WE WERE A MIGHTY NATION.. MY TRIBE IS CALLED THE PUKAPAH AND WE LIVE IN HOMES OF CARDBOARD..... A DESERT FLOOR.... 6 BY 9 OF SORROW...
Was working at a radio station in 71, helping pay the college bills. Working a Top 40 shift one night, threw this on. All hell broke loose..I was supposed to be playing yer basic Abba and Mac Davis crap....man I loved this band.
Back in 71', being only 14 years old, I fell in love with Country-Folk-Rock music. My first love was and is Neil Young and Crazy Horse but I also freaked out when I first heard Mason Proffit. I bought "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream". That album was a Godsend! The lyrics speak right to the heart. This album promotes love, peace, and patriotism. The military, industrial, pharma, media complex can't let this message get out. Thank God for the Internet. God Bless Terry and John Talbot. Peace!
I still have all their vinyls. In 1970 we sat at summer football practice singing two hangmen. I'm listening to all their best right now digitally. Gotten me thru some "hard luck" times.
they were my fave band back in the 70's! was i ever glad that when i came to the Lord Jesus i found the talbot brothers were already saved and making fantastic music for the Lord!!
Back row. John Michael Talbot on the left, Terry Talbot is on the left. I think the guy out front is steel player, Sneaky Pete Kleinow but I'm not sure.
Great song, great memories. Do you have another one of their's that I've been looking for for a long time? "Twenty-four Hour Sweetheart" I think it was called.
Lower left Tim Ayers (Bass), lower right Art Nash (Drums), the guy on the right Terry Talbot (Guitar), the other guy standing on the left, Terry's brother, John Michael Talbot.
awesome music... thanks mom and dad!!!!!

Saw them at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr PA around 71, what a powerful show, one of the great bands.

Great band and music. Saw them at WIU in the 70s and in Chicago several years ago.
It is so sad there seems to be no video footage of them playing LIVE.
I sung this song on an open stage at the infamous Ozark Mountain Music festival.
John & Terry and both still making incredible music, but I sure miss MP!

This is what is really cool about YouTube - discoverying old tunes. Brings back great memories of listening to this tune. I'll never forget it.
