It's not dangerous at all. We do it all the time. What's going to happen? If they were to stumble and fall, then they fall in the water, and then they get up. The water is soft, and they are bouyant. Is it dangerous if you run in knee-high water and stumble and fall? Of course not! Read my other comments further below.
thats really deep water for a horse to gallop through. That is really bad for their feet to do that. It may be fun for you, but it is not for the hrose
@number3never4 I'm not sure what you base your expertise on, but that is my daughter riding one of our horses in the video you commented on, and I can assure you that galloping through water is most definately not hard on a horse's feet. I have 6 horses of my own and in addition have been working with over 20 other horses for the last 10 years. These horse all gallop in water and do river crossings on a regular basis and are all in perfect health........
@number3never4 cont'.....The cowboys that I have gained my knowledge from are third and fourth generation horsemen and cattle ranchers so I know of what I speak. horses are amazing animals, but when people keep horses as pets they generally underestimate them. So don't worry about the horse because he's having fun galloping in the water. He's perfectly alright. If anybody wants and needs for him to be in perfect health, it's me. My whole livelyhood depends on it......
@number3never4 cont'......check out fellow Youtuber's Aligtor's video entitled "MEXICO!" it is from one of our weeklong horseback adventures. If you like horses you'll love this video. Many thanks. Cordially, Rodrigo Landeros - Director - Coyote Canyon Adventures
