@zootella It's "little known" because it's bullshit. Eddie and Alex were never sold on Mike being the best player for the band, but because of contracts and such they stayed with him. But that doesn't mean Eddie "wrote the basslines". He did play several of the basslines from VHIII but honestly, most of the VH basslines were lame and if Ed wrote them, that is sad.

LOL Eddie is a one style guitarist. Just like Roy Clark. Satch has played with so many different people and styles. his leads are very melodic.. Eddies leads are mechanical, abstract, and monotonous. you will notice he never comes up with anything new. Just the same re-hashed "Eruption type" noise that half way through sounds like he is lost for ideas

Thats what I, too, again noticed after watching several VH videos in succession. Eruption is essentially a loose medley of his regular song solos; what players sound like when they noodle around to find a real and catchy riff. It became Eds anthem so he's stuck with it.

Jump turned me off to Eds Method. Its pop fluff, okay, but his cramming an off-topic furious noodle into it for the sake of wank was downright odious.
