  • I can't stand Glenn Beck or Fox News but this looks ridiculously fake.

    Fail.

  • great performance by the 98% man in black, Where is you patriotic colors that every one wore that day or you Restore Honor shirt. Dead giveaway that you are part of the 98%..

  • It's also interesting to see Faux New comb through 20,000 people from Occupy Wall Street (more than any Tea Bag fest) to find the worst dressed person they can, then put 4 seconds of him on video up with no audio (cause it's fair and balanced) then use the image to support their fabricated BS. Never mind the fact that the guy has two Masters degrees but can't afford rent and his student loans because "trickle down" has run America into the ditch. Sorry, didn't mean to dis the "job creators"

  • the fact that both republican and democrats push for trade agreemnets with third world country's indicates they are not much different than each other. how can the American worker compete with people that make next to nothing for their labor? the real issue is jobs! we need those jobs here in America! a global economy will be the thing that drives us to a one world government more than anything else.

  • Nice editing. See my videos of the rally to hear a counter protestor ADMIT to just going into the crowd to get some "awesome reactions."

The left goes into the rights rallies often for no other reason to provoke someone into a reaction that they can then post on youtube as evidence of something. It's a pretty standard tactic, and with a large enough crowd, they can usually find someone who can be provoked.

True, it's deceitful, but to the less intelligent, it can be quite convincing.

  • Probably a plant - or drunk - or both -

  • If the video crew asked what MLK's dream meant to this man, then why not show the footage? That's some suspect editing there. 1) The man loses his temper, but why? 2) There are people with camera phones filming the film crew. 3) There are other people saying "that's not what it's about." You can't edit out that part, because it's in the middle of this guy's rant footage.

I see one man out of control, don't know why, and three others trying to calm him down and dismiss his behavior.

  • He's not a plant, he's just a stupid jerk that never got a good beat down for having to big of a mouth......Potty mouth that is.

  • Glenn Beck lies when he claims to be a Christian. He is part of the Satanic Mormon cult, leading millions of souls to Hell with their false theology. When Beck talks about "God", he's not talking about the God of the Bible, but rather the imaginary "God" dreamed up by his cult's founder, that murdering pedophile Joseph Smith. According to Beck's Mormon cult, he believes that he too will one day be a "God" and have his own planet.

  • Why would any true follower of Jesus Christ, who believes the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant word of God, representing absolute truth and the final authority in all matters follow a man who lies about what he truly believes simply because he espouses a conservative political ideology? Glenn Beck should quit lying to people that he is a Christian. Be honest: a Mormon is no more a Christian than a Muslim is.

  • @wvfii

You clearly haven't read the Book of Mormon. I know which Master I serve.

  • @wvfii

and by the way....cult actually means religion---so any belief system with any kind of organization is a cult---atheism is a cult...baptist, protestant...jewish---ALL CULTS.

  • @blandinthebasement

    you said it, not me.

    "cult actually means religion"

    "atheism is a cult"

    do you understand words?

  • @wvfii

do you understand the origin of the word cult? Look it up, and then we can continue this discussion.

  • @blandinthebasement

i suppose if you wanted to paint "antitheism" as a cult, i could understand. but atheism? you clearly don't know what you are talking about. and if you don't think that 99% of evangelicals in this country are absolutely certain that all Mormons are going to hell, then you are sadly mistaken.

  • @wvfii

atheism is just as much a belief system as any other--with its own culture (secularism). They worship government solutions to the plight of mortal life, imposing this 'god' on the rest of us. Of course there are some atheists who are libertarians--but that is few and far between..but to suggest that a culture is not influenced by ANY kind of belief is foolish.

Of course they think we're going to hell....and? I'm not sure how that is relevant--please explain.

  • @blandinthebasement

"atheism is just as much a belief system as any other--with its own culture (secularism). They worship government solutions to the plight of mortal life, imposing this 'god' on the rest of us"

lots of ignorant assumptions in this. it sounds like you're parroting Glenn Beck's (and the other talk radio/ FOX "news" commentators) ridiculous and desperate attempts to paint everyone who doesn't think/ vote exactly like them as an evil monolith.

  • @wvfii

I'm sorry, unless you can pinpoint a quotation of theirs, as well as prove that I have heard this quotation---YOU are the one making ignorant assumptions.. YOU are the one who paints everyone who doesn't think like you as an idiotic lemming. It's just convenient to your non-argument to suggest that I'm just another idiot. Saying I'm an idiot, doesn't prove your point.

  • @blandinthebasement

when did I call you an idiot? maybe you don't watch him, but that doesn't mean your argument doesn't smack of his odious attacks on "progressivism." and if you do watch him, are you seriously going to sit there and pretend that Glenn Beck (& Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter et al) hasn't spent the last 2+ years making unfounded, ludicrous claims about anyone who might be just to the left of Reagan??

  • @blandinthebasement

"Of course they think we're going to hell....and? I'm not sure how that is relevant--please explain."

i just find it interesting that people of the Mormon faith (or ANY non "mainstream" faith in America) are so quick to jump on the bandwagon vilifying secular humanists or atheists. these are (typically) people who could not care less what your faith is, as long as you don't try to affect public policy - very much in line with the vision our Founders explicitly laid out

  • @wvfii I'm not vilifying anyone...i was defending my characterizing them as a cult---and if you remember, I was suggesting that people use the word 'cult' to marginalize other groups--while I am suggesting 'cult' doesn't actually marginalize anyone---so why are you being so defensive?

And EVERYONE draws on their beliefs when they support, defend, or enact public policy---in fact, the founders were more concerned with government suggesting we CAN'T have freedom of conscience...

  • @blandinthebasement

i really don't think i'm being defensive. but i do think that dyed-in-the-wool atheists (which I am not) would take great exception to being classified as "a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies" or "an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers"

  • @blandinthebasement

atheism is basically the absence of belief that any deities exist, which would very much put them at odds with a "cult"

  • @blandinthebasement

there are many points on which you could take the American Left to task when it comes to economic policy (but ignorantly shouting "SOCIALISM" isn't doing anyone any favors); but I would argue that when it comes to social/ cultural issues, the Left is much more hands-off, more "libertarian", and much more in line with the Constitution.

  • @wvfii Obama has said so himself that the current health care law was a means to an end, that end being socialized medicine. As it stands NOW, that is 1/6th of the economy. There are different levels of socialism--and every policy that he has focused on in the last 2 years has pushed us in that direction. Suggesting that skepticism is ignorance, given the facts, is a conclusion I can comfortably challenge.

  • @blandinthebasement

i would argue that what Obama (with whom I have SEVERE fiscal disagreements, btw) is a fairly pragmatic, left of center Democrat. These guys appear to appreciate the Canadian model of mixed economy, but outright "Socialism"? I don't think so. I urge you to search youtube for Larry O'Donnel's "We Are All Socialists!" rant. The degrees of difference between the Modern GOP and the Modern Democrats are negligible. The GOP just lies about it better.

  • @blandinthebasement

I should probably note that I'm a fairly fiscally conservative libertarian, and I don't want to come off as defending Obama. But I do the Right's rhetoric of late has become increasingly unhinged and divorced from reality. My opening salvos re Glenn Beck in this comments section were basically a parody of what Glenn Beck does every night. I have no qualms with Mormons (the Mormon church as a political entity on the other hand...)

  • (I should also note that they were mostly cribbed from sociopathic evangelical "Christian" minister Bill Keller)

  • @wvfii What religious institution isn't a political entity, if it's beliefs are meant to change hearts and minds to act out its' values? Religion and belief SHOULD shape our public policy, otherwise these laws are arbitrary and have no substance. Why should I apologize or explain why my faith has influenced how I vote, and how I serve in my community? If I have to apologize or abandon my faith due to the prejudices of others, that sounds like a blatant violation of the 1st amendment.

  • @blandinthebasement , laws are only meant to protect people from certain things, that's all they're needed for.

Laws do not exist for moral or spiritual purposes. If you don'tunderstand that concept, then read my first sentence again.

  • @blandinthebasement

i won't presume to know your opinions on any matter, but I do know that LDS funneled millions of dollars and untold volunteer hours (for which they eventually paid a piddling $5500 fine) fighting for CA's Prop 8. This is a CLEAR violation of the church's 501(c)(3) status, and I would argue a conflict with the Establishment and Free Exercise clauses in the First Amendment.

but *gosh* thankfully it was upheld. now no one can force Mormons to get gay married.

  • @wvfii Did you also know that LDS has been instrumental in organizing thousands of service projects---in particular projects that help local communities where they fall short in revenue (things like parks and recreation cleanup etc) Did you know that LDS is instrumental in assisting the poor/needy and devastated areas around the world??? The scope of our humanitarian efforts is hard to match--and you want to quibble over 5500 dollars?

  • @blandinthebasement

i think you misread: they donated millions to influence public policy, they were fined $5500. as for their humanitarian efforts? Great!! Wonderful! if more churches spent their time following the words of Christ rather than organizing to enact public policy that keeps certain taxpaying consenting adults from marrying, you would probably hear a lot less criticism.

  • Wow! Congratulations, you proved absolutely nothing. Who was this guy. This didn't look like it was anywhere near the rally since there is a bus in the background and the buses were all parked at RFK. He looks like some drunk you found in a park.

  • lol i hate when people take video of an asshole and make that person represent hundred's of thousands.....

  • What is he looking up at?

  • other98 wow a bunch of rude people not Americans. I saw that guy before in a SEIU video he looks familuar. you people are just jealous you are not like the Tea Party decent and polite....

  • I heard a lot worse when I was down there walking through the crowd of teabaggers. Not only did we get called a myriad of racial and ethnic slurs and received numerous threats our safety, but they also pushed, shoved, and elbowed us. The even hit one girl in our group in the back of the head. They also used every insult imaginable. And all my sign said was, "DC DOES NOT HATE!"

  • It's no wonder the whole world HATES these ignorant pathetic fools who represent what republicans are all about...

What a bunch of phonies! They are the most untolerant and prejudice people on the planet and they dare preaching religion... how disgusting and ridiculous!

    Poor America! :(

  • I like the way the tea baggers claim to be christians.

  • @0906blue

It's funny that you feel the need to exploit the gay and lesbian community by calling the "Tea Party" members "tea baggers". It's like you're making fun of both the liberals, and the Christians at the same time. Can't make up your mind?

  • @0906blue They're called Tea Party Activists. "Teabaggers" are the people that Obama wants to join the military, and they're definately not Christian!

  • @0906blue TEA BAGGER is a hate slur meant to mock both Conservatives AND Gay People.

    It's like calling someone a FUDGE-PACKER.

  • @0906blue

so it is your opinion that this unhinged participator represents me? I was at the rally, and no one asked me what MLK's dream means to me----I'm also Christian---sorry, but this kind of idiocy get old.

  • A real piece of work this one. "Honor restored."

  • More Beck ralley footage:

    Boycott Target AGoryFairytale

  • This is a blatant example of a FAKE Lib infiltrator!

  • @whosyodady75 this excuse for every crazy teabagger is getting old and obvious. What are you people in a cult?

  • @monetb4b The left has been sending in fakes for a long time.

  • "Monkey" -- lovely.

  • Sounds like the guy is pissed because he got tossed out of "happy hour"

  • Interesting how every single time someone at a Beck rally or Palin rally acts like a jerk and gets put on YouTube, the right always protests that he's a plant.

  • @iamthebyron Jon Mayer & Dave Matthews are Racists Democrats

  • @iamthebyron Plant or not - I'd say this guy is nuts. And nuts are around the edges of any movement.

  • @frednoname1 You keep saying that but you never mention what video. What other video? Where at?

  • @GaiaTaurus On the 98% web site.

  • @frednoname1 show us a link to prove that. Oh, you can't.

  • @monetb4b Its on the 98% website.

  • Oh and the "tolerant" left used the sexual slur "teabaggers" in the description of this video.

  • Okay, now prove that guy was a glenn beck supporter. We have seen liberals do this before. Also prove how this one person is representive of the million plus people who were there. Did you note how the glen beck people were trying to get him to stop???

Why are you being so dishonest?

  • @frednoname1 100,000 does not = 1 million. Math, it's not just for smart people.

  • @GaiaTaurus I never said 100,000 = 11000,000. More lies from the left.

  • Anytime nearly 100,000 people are gathered there are going to be a few obnoxious ones. Good job at once again creating a misleading video to help your agenda...

  • That man can't even walk right. Looks drunk. There's one in every crowd! LOL You surely had plenty to pick from to find that loser!

  • It is funny how you video tapped someone that was not a part of the rally... someone who was obviously there to protest and cause a scene. Since we live in this great country you have a right to do that, but sadly you are mistaken. We, the people associated with the rally, are not violent, we are not rude, we are just Americans who love God and want to bring Him back to this country.

  • I went to the rally, and this was not what I witnessed. Although in large crowds of people, you always have a few that ruin the image and message that is being sent, what I witnessed was people coming together in love and compassion for their collective concerns and beliefs about our country. It was very moving, and I'm not a Christian Conservative. I would consider myself a concerned young AMERICAN who still believes that we don't have to blindly accept what is. United we stand.

  • @ChelseaHoops

Im sure not all the attendees were as this, but at some point you need to own up to the fact that the Tea Party is mostly a knee jerk reaction of these kinds of folks. Every sign, picture, video etc is met with denial.

  • @initialsjb

Denial? I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from. How can one deny the state of our country at the moment? The "Tea Party" consists of mostly working-class Americans who are concerned about the economic state of things. Now, if you're talking about the denial from the media, I'd have to agree with you. I realize that this many people coming together for a collective good may be scary for you, but I was proud to be apart of something bigger than myself.

  • Im all for the collective coming together for the greater good and I am in no way denying the state of the country. The media is skewed in both ways. However, the tea party consists of one type of person. Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others (If I may steal from Orwell). What it really is aimed at creating is a theocracy.

  • @ChelseaHoops If the tea party members are for less government, then let us have that. Stop trying to legislate what they deem as moral. Everyone wants less taxes. Everyone wants less government involvement in their lives.

  • @ChelseaHoops However, what I dont want is a tv personality creating " Jesus Land," and exploiting those who are looking for help in a crisis. Also, sorry as a middle class white male, even I am horribly insulted he would dare attempt to cash in on MLK.

  • @initialsjb

Well good sir, I will say this:

It was amazing to me that every denomination of religion (The Black Robe Society) was represented on stage, in peace and concern for the collective good of humanity. I don't think that Beck was exploiting anyone in Jesus Land. I also don't think that Beck is some kind of awesomely-charasmatic brainwasher of the masses. Then again, I do like to think that I've had a moral upbringing and a college education, and can think for myself.

  • @initialsjb

My parents raised me in a moral environment. They aren't hyper-religious, but I was still raised with a value system to live by. The Golden Rule, Do Unto Others..don't steal, be honest and kind, work for what you get in life, respect, etc. Religion is probably the best way to instill some kind of fundamental value system to live by if people can't become conscious, and develop a conscience naturally, without any other influences.

  • @initialsjb

I am in no way a religious fanatic, but I do believe in something far greater than myself. I suppose we choose a very simple word to describe something almost indescribable, and that's God...which is dog spelled backwards, by the way (yay college!)...and that's pretty flippin' awesome!

I think that everyone is missing the point with the whole religious thing vs. liberal thing or however you deem it. There should be common ground here.

  • @initialsjb

We always have to have black or white, democrat or republican, religious or nonreligious. What happened to "We The People"? Sometimes there is a gray area. Some things should just be agreed to be disagreed upon. And I don't think that it's fair to generalize all "Tea Party" members as one breed of people. I wouldn't say that the "Tea Party" ideals are in exact congruence with mine personally as an individual. We're still all individuals, as Americans, and that's beautiful.

  • @initialsjb

And saying that, you are entitled to your opinion as an individual, as I'm entitled to mine. May our country improve by living as moral and conscious individuals who can still be free-thinkers, because we still are free.

    Vaya Con Dios, Amigo.

    Chelsea

  • Leftwing plant.

  • All Beck followers have to be at least slightly mentally retarded.

  • Is there any more to this?

  • Glen Beck's followers!!!

  • I'd bet the farm that this mentally challenged individual is on social services.

  • where do you go to buy button-up muscle shirts, anyway?

  • @terpis You might be a redneck if you know the answer to that question.

  • this guy needs to put out of his misery...

  • Becks' idea of "restoring honor" is total corporate control of America

  • Where's the next 2 minutes? When the women "teabagger" got in this guys face, and the guy "teabagger" shut the guy up after he went after that woman? Any interest in presenting the WHOLE truth here?

  • @CardCrazed1 I saw the guy with common sense holding him back from committing something that would have gotten him thrown in a DC jail. The guy was a hero in his own way. That was all on the video where people tried to stop an assault. It doesn't take from the fact that the guy is an idiot to begin with.

  • @ChicagoJoe57 Agreed, guy was a moron. Possibly drunk, on drugs, or had mental issues. Not my point though. I was there, and there were other people that intervened. My point is this video didn't include any of that, to give a false impression of "What Beck's Restoring Honor Looks Like ". If the video was title along the lines of "goofy idiot @ national mall in DC", I wouldn't have said anything about it.

  • @CardCrazed1 Agreed! That is a good suggested title.

  • Comment removed

  • The walks like a woman. Maybe if he would work off some of that anger in the gym, he would not look like a wimp and would be able to backup his mouth.

  • What is the context? How come you didn't show yourself asking the question? The man looked drunk to me, by the way.

  • @lemurianchick You have to expand the info section "This man's reaction is to a "Celebrate the Dream, Reject the Nightmare" banner that volunteers were carrying."

  • @tucstoned69420 Even if this were a loaded reaction video - the wimp in the crowd has no right to physically assault someone for holding a banner or chanting anything. You know the law, and I don't have to tell you what is legal and what is not. So this guy was stepping beyond his legal limits and was lucky that the citizen held him back.

  • what the hell?

  • beck palin don't excatly go with honor

  • I'm sure he wasn't provoked at all. Nope, not at all. There WAS garbage down there yesterday, but mostly in the sharpton camp.

  • @USPTac45 Even if this were a loaded reaction video - the wimp in the crowd has no right to physically assault someone for holding a banner or chanting anything. You know the law, and I don't have to tell you what is legal and what is not. So this guy was stepping beyond his legal limits and was lucky that the citizen held him back.

  • lol. the bottom of the gene pool.
