  • • Prolonged exposure to an unshielded discharge lamp can cause eye and skin burns. Do not stare directly

into the light output. Never look at an exposed lamp while it is lit.

    • Do not operate the fixture with missing or damaged covers, shields, lenses or ultraviolet screens.

What part of this you did not understand... if you don't know how to handle this kind of equipment then DON'T

  • @fnerter I guess you dont know where the U.V. filter is in a 2K ??? You might want to check your facts before commenting.

  • @sTeedge [Do not operate the fixture with missing or damaged covers, shields, lenses or ultraviolet screens.] I actually don't know where the UV filter is in a MAC 2k.

  • Do I hear Hybrid - Last man standing in the background?

  • martin is the best!!!!

  • i love your videos! keep them coming!! :D

  • cool!

  • niiiice peice of hardware, good smooth and strong stepper motor control too!

  • and loud .

    martin is shit

  • Who make your fave lights?

  • what are you talking about these light will be noisy! they are HUGEEE!!, Martin is the best and always will be! nuff said

  • omg. never seen a varilite before ? they blow the shit out of martin !

  • well Vari*light are good, yes but Martin is industry standard. if i look at the Vari*Light VL3500Q Spot and compare it to the Martin Mac III the Mac III is much better, they are made in the same time (2008) therefore they is no reason why Vari*Light could of easily made it as good as the Mac III but they didn't even the Mac 2000 Profile/ Performace will beat it, sorry but its fact.

  • Martin an industry standard ? true. why? becouse every dealer has martin stuff..

but for good lights with a nice output on a nice price. don't choose martin .

  • ok i do admit Martin is expensive but i have a 92 218 MK1 which is still working today(no parts replaced) i also have a 96 812 and 2x 218 MK2 they are all fine with no parts changed. Martin make their lights to last and they do hence why all the hire shops use them as they don't need pricey parts all the time. but yes i do like Vari*Light, also Clay Paky are brilliant! what is your opinion of them?

  • clay paky ... never really seen one i think, well , from the videos they look really nice..

and , maybe martin lights are built to last.. most of the lights (especially older models ) have an light output less than a maglite ;' ) ...

  • Clay Paky are brill, but they are hell noisey and heavier then all the rest, but i disagree on the Maglite thing i have a 8D call Mag and the Roboscan 812 will beat it with its 150 watt discharge lamp the 218 MK1 has a MSD 200 and the MK2's i upgraded to a MSD 250/2 with a fan change, and they will out perform my 1500 watt strobe.

  • AGREEEEEDDD!!!! who would hear that over most applications anyways like concerts and stuff????

  • Wow, you are an idiot martin is the best sorry you use american dj.
