Ohhh how I want to kill the Youtube developers that cant get their fucking player to run properly without stopping all the fucking time ! I have a high speed broadband connection that ROCKS!
Have you considered it could be your DNS servers? There are other computers between you & YouTube. Some scanning files, updating software, redirecting traffic around congestion etc.
Blaming content providers means you miss the big picture, and other possible solutions.
Identify slow boxes en-route; ie the actual bottle-necks.
I know some community servers struggle to contain bandwidth costs, sending content over the web is not free.
IDK, interesting you say it's slower.
Maybe ISPs see YT's player & slam brakes; all those ad server destinations.
Firefox used to be able to spoof 'user agent ID' (what servers see) with about:config in address bar.
Perhaps copy YT player's & do speed checks if you have a free afternoon. Ethereal & Apache would help unravel network characteristics & differences too.
Hey, have you guys seen the new Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard production center? It's perfect for running all of your Windows compatible software and plugins! Check out the videos on our channel by clicking the link below!

Good for you.

Things like visual traceroute can help.
But check your DN servers first IMO.

Holy shit, if I were the publisher of melodyne, it'd sue. This completely rips the interface off.
