Satyricon has a fairly amount of folk infuence on their old songwriting, but the black metal sound was always the main aspect.

Still, this list is one of the best I've seen. I love viking/folk and black metal, but not the happiest bands like Korpiklaani and such.

Burzum is always an excellent choice. U can include his songs on folk, on raw BM, even on depressive black.

most definitively not. Viking and christian does not coexist. I am a medieval history student and can tell you for a fact that when christianity took a hold in scandinavia the viking traditons were pushed aside, and all that made men vikings was considered sinfull. such as heathen religion and raiding. IMO this should be represented in music.

Yes, true. Satin is the fabric most despised by pagan societies, vikings not least of all. A TRUE viking wouldn't even be caught dead in Satin. Rather, they prefer a coarser material, something like Wool or Linen. NEVER Satin.
