Though I am Russian and our figure skating is also strong (used to be) but this was my favourite dance ever. Masterpiece!!!!!!!! I remember I watched them first time in 1984, I was 12 years old... I was stunned, blown away... Thank you, Jane and Chris, for giving me those emotional moments, the moments of absolute joy and admiration!

This is actually from the 1984 World Championships in Ottawa, after the Olympics in Sarajevo.

It's nice to see the Worlds version now and again. I hold this the "real" Bolero, meaning that it's the last time (that I've noticed) the choreography change between 84 and when they stopped performing it. (This being the tiny bit at 4:17 before the last lift at 4:22.)

Albeit Chris Dean stopped doing the splits at some point in 1994-5.
