I love how the bass line follows the melody for a few notes every once in a while. The DTB kills it!

i kept hearing this on the underground garage, which is a radio program sunday nights in my town that plays blues and jazz, and i heard these songs. i called to ask what the names were and the guy couldnt pronounce it so he told me they were two middle eastern ballads by the derek trucks band. that was 3 years ago and i FINALLY found out the names. these songs are so relaxing

Actually, it's Pakistani, not Middle Eastern duder. The name that the guy couldn't pronounce would probably be Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, a devotional-qawwali singer from Pakistan. :) Hope I helped!

I met him too. He and the band were just hanging out behind the stage afterward saying hi, signing autographs and taking pics with fans who came to meet them.
