  • Derek continues to astound me. This is the 3rd performance I've heard of this song and every time he makes me want to keep listening.

  • I wanna slap that woman with the cigarette upside the head!

  • "Todd the Bassist" always has a smile on his face!!!! :)

  • I've been listening again to the "Songlines" album all this week in my car on the way to and from work - this amazing music really makes it easier to suffer all the nuts and inconsiderate idiots in local highway traffic...

  • i've never heard anything like it. its really good. respect to derek he is a real musician.and big up the main man Nusrat Sahib.

  • TRY LISTENING TO "AZIZ MIAN QAWAL" HE IS THE SABBATH OF QAWALI

CHEK OUT HIS GROWL hahaha HONESTLY qawali is the rock of the east

  • awesome tribute to the King of Qawali Ustad Nusrat Fateh ali Khan .

    good job..I am loving it.

  • Ultimate respect for two great legends!! Sir Nusrat could do what no one in the whole while world could do... so can be said about derek'!! Have a listen to "Sanso ki mala pe" by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan!!

  • nusrtat fateh ali khan was a apakistani..it was sad to see him go at the peak of his career..but this was an awsome tribute DTB!!!

  • I love how the bass line follows the melody for a few notes every once in a while. The DTB kills it!

  • i kept hearing this on the underground garage, which is a radio program sunday nights in my town that plays blues and jazz, and i heard these songs. i called to ask what the names were and the guy couldnt pronounce it so he told me they were two middle eastern ballads by the derek trucks band. that was 3 years ago and i FINALLY found out the names. these songs are so relaxing

  • Cool. I'm i know how that feels.

  • Actually, it's Pakistani, not Middle Eastern duder. The name that the guy couldn't pronounce would probably be Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, a devotional-qawwali singer from Pakistan. :) Hope I helped!

  • a great tribute to a great artist by another great.... love derek.. love nusrat fateh ali khan..

the drummer is so awsome as well (yenrico scott i think)

  • this song is incredible

  • that was a great show yesterday, got my pic with derek!!! woot!

  • how did you meet derek? does he take pictures all the time or did you get lucky

  • I met him too. He and the band were just hanging out behind the stage afterward saying hi, signing autographs and taking pics with fans who came to meet them.

  • my dad took a pic of me and him standing next to each other backstage at the jazz fest in detroit
