For all of you who are saying you are 13 and you play fs2004 or fsx, i encourage you to go to your local airport and have a discovery flight. It is very fun. It is even better than the flight simulators.

I live about 20 minutes from JFK, and although i dont fly often, i have to say, there's something "magical" about being at Kennedy. not so much flying, but just being there. I usually fly JetBlue, and like everyone on earth, i hate the check in/security lines, but mainly i love the thrill of passing through the complex, and waiting at the gate watching other planes depart, especially in the early hours of the morning :D

I don't understand why there are so many flight simulator videos on youtube. Why?!? Why would anyone possibly want to see this? Flight Sims are cool......but they are like golf. Fun to play, incredibly boring to watch.

the reason why I want to be a pilot, i think of the stories of people flying to different places. So when i am in fsx, maybe just doing a flight from Boston to NY, I think of a passenger having a second chance in a brand new place! I barely know anything about plane controls anyway, but when I fly in fsx, i feel good.

Im 14 and I pilot an 777-200 on Flight Sim everyday for quit a while. I always fly it from LAX to Atlanta or O'Hare. I love the the planes just lift off the runway and the sounds of em. Go to DCA in DC and go to Gravelly Point Park. When A plane lands, you can hear the sound whisle though the trees. Im GOING to be a pilot when I grow up, or go to rhw USAF. American, United, US Airways, Southwest UPS ot FedEx pilot?

in 18, in training right now. its hard work i have my private pilots certificate and in training for my IFR all i can say is good luck to all people that want to pursue a life in aviation. just for all wondering the cost. $56,000 per rating (license) and there are 7 of them so in total you will spend in excess of $392,000 dollars not including travel to classes, testing and other materials so just be ready to hit that $400,000 dollar mark.
