eric hutchinson described this sound best as "a british guy who sounds like american 50's soul " - Otis Redding is the best comparison I've heard of so far but Otis has more bass in his voice. The chorus with the layered vocals is the part that really brings that 50's soul sound home in my opinion - that's such a classic sound it immediately makes me think Mo-town which is where people are getting stevie from maybe...?
