a lot of the fish in there need more swimming room length, such as 5-6'...the tang may need more gallonage sometime, and the batfish definitely needs more gallonage
"general rule is 1" of fish per gallon" that is the general rule for a freshwater system, depending on the type of fish being talked about the rule for marine aquariums is something between 1" per 2gallons(Blennys, Damsels or other small fish in a fish only system) to 1" per 10 gallons(large angelfish)
there isnt really a general rule for saltwater fishtanks. I agree with waht Glmory said but even then some fish like long noseutterfly fish do not accumulate for their 2 inches of nose. other fisht like seah0orses have no rule so really you have to check for each indivdual species. some fish like damselsalso have territories. The best thing to do is take to the fish store operator you trust the most.

actually it was the grouper that I got after this vid was made that ate the 3 little fish..i didnt relise before hand groupers are that agreesive to smaller fish.
Just read your intro. You say it's a zebra eel. It really moves like a krait, it has a flattened tail like the sea kraits and it keeps coming to the surface like an air breather, even when no food around. Hope you know what you have or have been sold. Good luck and watch the spines on the back of the lion.
Isn't that a lion fish and (not an eel but) a banded sea snake. That's the most venomous reptile in the world and one of the most venomous fish both living together.
i think what the guy that you sad sounds mad is trying to say is ever though it's a very nice tank it's not the size the fish in it need an to keep them in there is just not right
Well thats exactly what he/she should have said. And if they read what you said they probably are cursing you too for trying to change their words.miserable ppl say things like that for a reason.like I said you have the right to not like what I do but I will defend myself against nonsence.

i like the fish. i havnt got the balls for a slatwater setup yet. iv only got a 150 gallon freshwater. is a saltwater tank as hard to set up and maintain as people say it is?
Nice Set Up! wayyyy to overcrowded as for the live feeder question "feeders are terrible for your fish, they have the nutritional value of popcorn. Any lion can be taught to hit on pellet or Crill give them a few days without eating believe me they will hit off the surface if all fails hit the food with some garlic

thanks for the compliment. You can either add seasalt thats sold in the pet stores or you can buy authentic sea water at specialty pet fish shops. Its definatly a learning curve and requires allot of attention to keep everything alive and well and the tank clean.

The tank isn't to small, but Batfish usually dont do well in captivity. Also it appears as if you may be over feeding which will adversely effect the quality of your tank's water and your fish
actually as u see this vid is 8mths old.since then ive added a 220gal capcity sump and 220gal capacity skimmer(plenty for a 150gal tank) i use to let the alge grow for athentic ocean look but ive since add lowered the amount i let grow. also ive got a couple snals that eat the alge too.

its 150 gals if that matters to you. why are you looking at ANY fish tank if you feel this way, every single fish tank no matter what size it is no matter what kind of fish is in a box.
Just a suggestion, maybe a few more lbs. of live rock or just move yours further back. I did that and it looks like it has more rock. You have a beautiful tank!!I think people think it it too small because most of your fish are mid to top swimmers which doesn't matter because the waste all goes to the same place. Good work--Jacob
The rock use to be all on one side stacked up,however the eel needed his space "underneath" so i re-arranged it this way.I am gona move them around again and add more rock too. thanks for input.
Great tank! Beautiful fish. All that matters is that they look and act healthy, which they do. Check out my page if ya get a chance...i have a 90g, a 55g, and a 33g...
before any are too big another tank will be ready.I think when I tape this tank with a better camera it will look alot more fish space friendly.thanks for advise.
thanks... I listened to it again on headphones and I think it was one of those crazy ass cartoons..lol All American Dad maybe .. sh***t i dont remember..lol
billabong, thats a tight shot.end cut off on the right of frame. check out my other one's then tell me what u think.4ft lg x 2ft wd x 2.8 ft deep 150 gals

Very nice set up. Your fish are beautiful. I love the lion fish.

its 150 gals if that matters to you. why are you looking at ANY fish tank if you feel this way, every single fish tank no matter what size it is no matter what kind of fish is in a box.
