I'm so old-timey, that 99.999999999999% of my things are from 1995-1812 XD I've got records, (45RPM-33RPM) I have record players, 7 typewriters, video camera from the 60's, a WWII ARMY generals' cap, WWII NAVY officers' cap, two railroad LANTERNS, karosene type, I have an antique chair no less, a Treddle, Kirby vacume, soon to have a 248 year (in counting) clock, old breifcases, old cameras, (still cameras), rotery-dail phone, and, none other than, a telegraph key, among many more things. I'm 14
this may sound odd comeing from a 15 year old but i enjoyed this song and was wondering if this would be on a record by any chance? because a family friend plays this at ther house alott when ther grandfather is there
Great old song. My dad would sing this song at the old kitchen table in the 30's and 40's. Another one he loved to sing was "Waiting for a Train" (all around the water tank.....) Jimmie Rogers song. Thanks for posting and stirring the cobwebs of my mind. I'm 75 in October 2009 and hold dear many of the songs of a time that was tranquil and innocent, the air was clean and people actually sat on their porches.
I was alive when this song came out. This was a great song and one of my favorites. I have the record because it was passed down to me from my mother. I was born in 1900.
Why does your profile say you are 68? Also you would be 109 and don't know anyone your age that uses a computer. Glad to see you active with the new technology.
Thanks for the compliments Paul. I had to clean this one up more than I like, so sound not quite what I would prefer. It sounded terrible before this.
Beautiful.

@alyssa18091 It may have been recorded on an LP later by another group. This is off the original 78. Try Amazon to see if it is available.

I've made my Mother in Law very happy playing her this. Her GRANDFATHER sang this to her when she was a child.

@benj347 Rock? it's not that noisy, try Thrash Metal and Death Metal...
Yet I always find time to appreciate such wonders of art like this. =D
