6-7 min it's not like a wave...the sea actually rises and swamps the land in waters that rise to around 20ft...then 7-8mins .. that monstrous second wave comes in on the top of it, bringing open ocean "rough-seas" onto the buildings.
I'm mad as as hell because there were still people in the little building at 06:50-07:00 behind the taller building -- so they didn't know there was a tsunami coming their way! They got trapped, and the freaking sirens didn't go off until it was about a mile inland! By that time the second massive surge was already coming their way, by then it was already too late. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their lives to this horrific event; but I must say, Japan dropped the ball in their sirens!

ur right (well spotted) but the clearest view u get of those 2guys, running across what looks like a ledge between the ground floor & first floor of the rear, wide, 2 floor building (between the tall building and the sea) is at 7.25 -7.33.
Ur right there's no way they escaped, watching that beast of a wave grow behind that building became a hundred times worse knowing that (like sioban said)
And yep, the sirens went of when the water below thos guys was already 6ft deep.
Theres a flash of that building at the end, (when the waters r at full hight) the roof is still out of the water (but getting battered by waves You couldn't cling on up there)
But more hopefully, there WAS about a foot of the top of the 2nd floor window showing, meaning inside that 2nd floor there'd be maybe 2ft of space btw the roof & waterline between waves. it's possible maybe one of them could've found a corner somwhere, clung on for dear life, held his breath a lot etc

最初の一波が来た時点で、彼方に第二波・第三波が観察されますね。
津波被害の経時的検証をする上で大変参考になると思います。
数ある津波動画の中でも、資料的に価値あるものではないかと思います。

私も実家を津波で全て失いました。写真一枚、位牌一ついまだに出て来ません。こんな感じで故郷が波に飲まれていったのだと思うと見ていて苦しくなってしまいなした。でも、これが現実なんですね。みんな油断していました。因みに実家の方では津波警報のサイレンは鳴らなかったそうです。

小さい地震が続き、大した津波も起こらず。
地震が多い国が故に
ある意味、津波警報に慣れてしまった日本人はこうした大地震が起きた時にも
過去の教訓から何も学ばず被害を拡大させた場所もあっただろう。
確かに小さい地震と大きい地震では津波の大きさが比例しないくらいの差が有るだろう。
しかしそろそろ終わりにしなければいけないのではないか。
