actualy what happens is this: when he drops the marble in the water it makes a wave, when the wave comes to the two wholes in the pannel it creates the 2 separate waves because the two holes act like a source(marble droped in the water) the stripes on the board are points of minimum and maximum, same principles can be applyed to sound, if you put 2 speakers in your room and start them at different times there will be points in your room where there is total silence cause the waves cancel
@linklinkmedia but, your observing it in time does not add time to the equation. whether or not you are looking at it, time is there. how do you explain that?
I hope this clears things up for everyone. The video is misleading for 2 reasons. Electrons are not just "small matter" like tiny marbles, but also have wavelike properties (which is why electron microscopes work, because their wavelength is much shorter than light and allow for better resolution) and thus can have an interference pattern. Second, here they show the "observation tool" as just an eye and not interfering, but in reality we can only "observe" electrons by interfering.
I would agree with Upa. But the electrons behaved like marbles that other time. Maybe there was metal in the observing device that screwed up the electrons somewhat??
maybe the very act of measuring messed up the results..we see because photons are bouncing off things ..the things they are bouncing off of are to large of the photos to affect but at a quantum level the photons are as big as the things being observed so maybe this changes things..?
its simple. the electron slits when it comes from the freakin' plate thing and when the plate is behind it its hits the black plate and splits to freaking many pieces and the waves bounce and the marbles just go.. i think
The truth is bent here, a misleading video of quantum mechanics. DO NOT believe this video it is beding the truth, research this information the proper way and not a youtube video...
WHAT!! AN INTERFERENCE PATTERN!!!!

The 4th dimension is time, your observing it in the 4th, thats why it behaves differently

or the camera was pickiong up the electrons or something and THAT screwed up their magnetic field?

could you tell me what was wrong about the video? (i'm curious)

actually it's not...it's in science text books unless you are speaking of a conspiracy?
