  • I hope your publications acknowledge Richard Greene --

"The drawing prism: a versatile graphic input device" (1985)

  • How do I get this, I want it!

  • yeah, an abstract piece is really gonna show of the capabilities here. well done. /sarcasm

  • interesting and it IS cool that the leftover paint won't go into the water system, etc. i know a lot of them are carsenogenics (s/p?) BUT as a fine art major i have to say, if you aren't working with your hands, it's just not the same thing. >_<

  • Typically a painting takes much more than a thousand strokes and operations, last thing anyone needs is more operations.

Locating, and maneuvering a new tool into my hand every-time I want a slightly different effect would annoy the hell out of me. I only care about getting whats in my head down visually, as quick as possible.

  • umm well i dont see what is wrong with a proper canvas and proper paint but still cool

  • so cool

  • For all the people dissing this, think about it; its an eco friendly way of producing art :)

  • You cannot be serious. You even have to wet the brush?

  • with photoshop and a normal graphic tablet you can have almost realistic effect, just look at Jaime Jones work, also you have more options, seems like you can't do much with this program. And you never have the same feeling as drawing with traditional mediums.

    Also it's slow.

  • cool... interesting... but no real-world application

  • @judasking what is the "real" world? the colours don't even exist, are just reflections of the light... think of it :)

  • that is soooo cool!!!!!! :D

  • Great how far technologie is now but honestly ?

I would paint on real paper with the colors if i have to use water and all, it´s still much better feeling then do a "half-half" mix.

    Traditional Painting? Yes

    New PC Paintin? Yes

But not that one lol..... and i miss something like music, talking, any kind of noise in the video (X_X)

  • @ClipOriss save you alot of supplies and money in the long run

  • @EvilJirachi it think this thing doesn't hold long enough.... that it could save anything xD

  • @ClipOriss i agree... traditional... YES... normal pc tablet painting stuff...YES (i do that my self too). but this thing between it.... it's just wrong

  • With Wacom tech being so awesome, I can't imagine enough (any) people want to invest in this. I personally don't see the point.

  • this looks amazing, a wonderful concept though a bit impractical I must admit. The system would hardly be portable but the convenience of not worrying about smearing the paint would be nice as well.

though I must ask, what would the advantages of this be over say, a tablet PC with a digital painting program?

  • @Achturn A very simple 3 word answer. "Feels more Natural"

  • wait wait... Why must you do that when you have an intuos4 and a cintiq 21ux right at your side? 0_0

  • @infernonecro130 because you dont get the same feel, this is mainly trying to emulate precisley painting with real brushes and paints

  • quite unnecessary

  • i rather stick to the traditional one.....this is ridiculous...amazing but.......

sometimes we need to go back to the basic...

  • wont the table top will be wet?

  • Talk about over engineering!

    Just buy some paper...

  • speachless........but then again i lie a lot

  • wow!!!
