also can you actually use it like a modded xbox and play stored games emulators movies music and other stuff that u can on a modded xbox

  • ...that's why it's installed on a USB key...to prevent the risk of anything happening to your computer...

  • can you do the same for xbox 1 and use a AR usb to usb conector for the memmory card?

  • Google for some reason only gives me one result when i search. Can you give me a direct link?

  • megabits of megabytes if megabits divide by 8 :O

  • 46 Mbps = 5,75 MB/s

  • megabits is just for advertising it because it makes it look good and the one that it downloads at is Megabytes :P

  • i prefer xbmc on my xbox =0

  • Isn't this only useful if you don't know how to make your pc into a media center?

As in wouldn't it be simpler if you just booted Windows Media Center? And if you want a media extender just set up your 360 and link them to each other.

I'm not sure what the point of this vid is, maybe it's useful if you've got XP and no other way to do media center...

    nice job anyway Gig

  • I completely agree with you...I'm not much of a fan of the interface, and the navigation sucks...Media Center is much better. But with this, you can run it on any system, whether it have Windows, Linux, OSx, or no operating system at all. If you've got Windows with Media Center, I wouldn't recommend this unless you're just curious.

  • Cool, just wondering Gig. Not trying to bash you, you've got good stuff and you do a great job.

Thanks for the help on capturing the IP address by the way.

  • No way is Media Center better. XBMC is open source, you can run CoreAVC and recompile mplayer.dll as you like. Good luck playing back Matroska (.MKV) or even standard Transport Stream (.TS) on that POS closed MS system.

  • It`s cool because just can boot it from you USB drive. So... if you are in school you can boot your XBMC out there and watch a movie in school =P or on your work or something.

  • lol xD

  • @lukesprettycolors I'm on the media center edition of XP now, media center sucks

  • @krazykhrisya Yeah, media center does suck on XP. They improved it in Vista and 7 though. Microsoft website sold Windows 7 Ultimate upon release to students (high school and collage only I think) for 12 dollars, thats how I got 7.

  • what is this 4?hey can u make a vid of how to download vid from youtube?

  • Co.OL shit!

  • what is this for ? i dont understand what it helps

  • xBox Media Center is a platform (originally made for the xBox) that can stream and organize media. This makes it so that you can turn any system that can boot from a USB drive into a streaming media center.

  • xBox not X-Box

  • haha...fair enough, I'll update the header.

  • very cool

  • wow cool
