And in that moment, where Charlie finally confides to his dad about how hard it is for him, Scott should have said something to help.

I understand that parenting is hard though, especially when you're a working parent.

I imagin it's hard at his age to not be able to talk about his father when he already knows he isn't around as much he wants him to be. stuff like that is complicated, especially for a teenager.
