Beatles visited Japan and the Philippines. They were booed by the Philippines because of their disregard for the royal family. So, anyways the Beatles were more American and Europe based, while MJ was global. He was known in the poorest parts of India to the vast Gobi Desert. He was a global phenomenon and he achieved world recognition the Beatles never got.

not what you think, facts please, they were much much better instrumentalists, they're musik was much more complex, they made the studio an instrument, they invented automatic double tracking, they played the first stadium rock concert, they were the first band to really write all their hits (unlike wack o who only wrote 4 of 9 thriller songs), they never needed five years to make their next album and still had the highest qualitiy discography of all time

Check your info on Thriller because it's a common misconception that he wrote 4 singles. He actually wrote 7 of them. And MJ sang in front of 72,000 people at Wembley Stadium in London(Beatles Country) in the 80s 7 times that resulted in 504,000 people, the largest concert tour ever.

@hulk501 sorry you haven't read George Martins account where he clearly states that the first couple albums he produced everything, by a hard days night the Beatles themselves were producing the records he was just there if they needed help. for example with Elenore Rigby Paul went to George with the melody some of the instruments and how he wanted it, George then composed the strings.

emi and capital records both said the beatles sold 1.5 billion in 1984 and in 2001 emi said they sold 1.6 and in jan of 2010 emi and apple records said the number was at 1.9 billion selling over 300 million albums in 5 months with the remasters.

Too difficult to say considering the scarce data from the 1950s but an independent agency found that Elvis figures in Europe were lower than previously though according to local polls taken by them. But for sure Beatles #1, Elvis #2 , and MJ #3.

Speculation and going to the distributors is the only way. But finding Elvis figures from the 50s is a lost cause. But, whatever I like all three especially MJ and at least we know The Beatles #1, Elvis #2, and MJ #3.
