On covek jednostavno mrzi Novaka. Pokazuje po stare dane da je najveci folirant u istoriji tenisa. Mogao je da se povuce kao sampion i ostao bi u nasim ocima doveka ali nema on tu ljudsku crtu da kaze, "dosta od mene neka sad mladji iskidaju" . Postao je jadan.

Maybe now we are seeing the real Federer...he's not as nice as he would like us all to believe...I've always seen an arrogance about him. Not shaking the umpires hand and smashing his racquet are not the actions of a true sportsman in my opinion! Pete Sampras at least was gracious win or lose...and he will always be in my eyes the true Greatest of All Time!

I totally agree with you. Before this incident happened...i opined that Pete is still the greatest or equalled Laver...achievement and attitude wise. A great champion is gracious in defeat as well as winning. Have we ever heard of Fed accepting defeat without alibis? no! Go Rafa.

It's a good life lesson for Federer to be losing all the time these days... It will teach him humility and how to be a better person.. Life is not about winning, but about personal/spiritual growth. If he continues on this trend, now that other players have figured out how to beat him, he may never win a grand slam again. However, in time, when he will have let go, and he starts playing for the love instead of the glory, he may regain the top position. Like Kelly Slater in surfing.

What I did not like most about Fed in this match is at the end of the match he did not even bother to shake hands with the chair umpire. The chair umpire wasn't at fault in this match - FedEx did not get bad decisions and still he goes ahead and snubs the ump!!..The champ did not need to do that IMO

I did not notice that but if that's the case he probably felt the umpire had smth to do with his concentration. I remember the empire telling Roger to stand and get back on the court because time was up... This little observation pissed Federer off. He responded smth to the umpire but we couldn't hear. Maybe he felt no one should tell the king of the court what to do. Too bad his ego got in the way of his concentration. He just needs to let go but that won't be easy.

Totally agree with you hyogen82...at least Pete Sampras knew how to act graciously in victory and defeat...to me Federer's not as humble or as nice a person.  He doesn't deserve to beat Pete's record if he behaves like this! Pete Sampras at least is a real role model and someone to be looked up to!

it's amazing to see someone being so dominant for years, all of a sudden struggle to wn tournaments and get OWNED by certan players like Nadal and Murray. However I would have guessed that he would have handled it with more class instead of smashing rackets, crying like a baby, etc. But all in all, I find it very enjoyable to watch, he was used to winning and seemed all nice, but as soon as he starts losing his true personality is starting to show.

apart from his crazy crying in Australia this was the most shocking thing this year in tennis. I mean, come on!
