  • Ian is my alltime fav voice. But this song seems/feels a bit on the fast side. I've heard it before, and not this fast.

  • I agree BarbaricGoose. I have madly loved Ian Benzie since I first heard Old Blind Dogs. I have often wondered what he is doing now, probably teaching! But at least we can still enjoy his voice! Oh for the record I am a female royceroscoe!

  • He WAS difficult to understand, but it's because his Scottish burr is so Scottish! I still love their music, but they haven't been quite the same since Ian Benzie left. His lyrical style was what caught my attention in the first place.

  • True. I still like some of their newer material, but I'd like them a whole lot more if Ian was still with 'em.

As for the lyrics, I'm just glad I didn't have to write them down, as I normally have to for the most of the folk songs I upload.

  • It's too bad they didn't stay together. I think they complemented each others talents.

As for the lyrics, I was glad that the liner notes for their CD's included lyrics. Even so, I went to the library to find books to translate some of the old Scottish terms and words.

Thanks again for posting this song!
